And passan believes Sox are in it to be in it with the hopes of winning it LOL. Basically meant he believes Sox won’t be blowing away the other teams with their offer. Everybody needs to relax about the Padres interest. This is standard operating procedure in negotiations of this magnitude. There is no shot he signs with San Diego.

I can’t see the Padres as a serious contender. CA state taxes are higher. Manny doesn’t like the west coast. And Petco Park is where homeruns go to die. Plus the path to a division championship is much harder in the NL west than AL central.
