I have way too many questions for Abrams at #3 personally. I want Bleday for a LH, slugging, corner OF bat that we desperately need. Vaughn I have some concern with as well but nowhere near the amount I have with Abrams.
Anderson obviously has more than 20 HR in him. He also wasn't the #3 pick. All I'm saying is I don't want to have a light power middle infield down the road.
Possibility of growing into power is not what I'd want with the #3 pick. I've seen him projected as a 10-15 HR guy. We would have a middle infield combining for like 15-20HRs in a few years.
We have 6 guys currently that project to or are 1B/DH types. I would much rather get a slugging corner OF since we don't have any. I'm not counting Eloy for obvious reasons.
Talk to me at the end of the month. If we are somehow still a game or 2 back it would be a miracle after June. The Sox are over performing right now and have a negative 40 something run differential.
We have got the piss slapped out of us by every good team we have played with the exception of an injured HOU and Yankees team. Beating the Royals, Indians, and Tigers is fine but this is the worst division in baseball and we aren't even at .500. We are 11 games out of first place. "Striking distance" is hardly where the Sox are at.
