  1. i may go saturday - have an extra ticket if anyone wants to go with me - upper deck behind home plate
  2. Heather Lee is, and always has been, the original customized rank - as Heather Lee is unique among posters But congrats to the doable one!
  3. take out any manager's best year and you throw off the stats - that is very unfair comment I suspect you are not old enough to have watched many of those teams that you say were so s***ty I am not putting Manuel in the HOF but he is no where near as bad as so many make him out to be, and he does not deserve the trashing that he gets nonstop the 2001 team was ravaged by injuries and he pulled that team back , that was great managing as it was in 2000 when you look at who the pitching staff was Manuel is ok, sometimes more than ok, Plain and Simple
  4. but one of your top 10 bad teams is the 1970 Sox, having lived it, I never make fun of anyone one suffering as we did
  5. Frank had the opportunity to be a hero because MB pitched a hell of a game - it is a team game props to both
  6. note in the 9th we were playing small ball - a double, a bunt to get the runner to third, then Frank had to go and get the little hit...

sure was good to give Frank some showtime and didn't he handle himself well!

is that a new interview or the one they ran right after the game? I would love Frank to hit 25 from here on out and snare the MVP the way Giambi did to him in 2000
  9. 1967 the 4 team race us, Boston, Detroit, Minnesota - for months no one was ever more than a few games apart from the others it came down to the final week - we lost a doubleheader to the KC As (not Royals, As) and Boston won when Minnesota dropped the 2nd game of a doubleheader on the last day of the season - that was so nip and tuck, teams trading places, no one getting ahead or behind week after week after excruciating week - this season may be like 67 and if it does, it will make real Sox fans out of you all, separate the "can't take it"s from the diehard survivalistl fans - and mature you up into the perpeptual joy and agony that is White Sox baseball
  10. you know we have a winning record this season --
  11. welcome to soxtalk! Kip - give my greetings to f-tizzle - I respect him, not picking on him - he's a great poster - great Sox fan - as you are too - love to everyone tonight!
  12. not picking on you - ok, please, not picking on you just saying to everyone: never give up - never give up - never give up
  13. truth be told by dog Tommy hates being groomed I started grooming him as Graf came to bat - I told Tommy (named after guess who) the grooming ended when we scored - on that 3-2 pitch he barked - and it was over! he is about 50-2 in close games being groomed for the Sox and about 10-1 for Michigan - don't believe it? I believe in sports superstitions and my dog ios groomed and the Sox won -
  14. so happy we got that 3rd out now lets score and go home
  15. that's what I was thinking too - I am surprised as you are by the 7000 walkups
  16. I've seen huge HR's turn south plenty of the times over the years cheering for the White Sox..... most recent being Crede's 3-run shot against KC on 08/04. I know - I was just teasing a good friend and great fan -
  17. not picking on ya at all - just a reminder to everyone a game goes 9 innings for a reason and now the hex is broken... as Bruce Springsteen sang at USCF last wednesday, No surrender!
  18. as I said... game not over, just beginning listen when I speak!
