I havn't posted here in a while, but this seems like a silly post. If you are a Sox fan, you dont give up on your team when they are STILL in 1st place! I dont think I could have said this a couple years ago, but if your to the point where you cant stomach watching the Sox play a baseball game, you need a new hobby. Life moves on win or lose. Watch the game, root for your team, and hopefully we'll be watching them in October! Go Sox :-)

I dont think there is anyway that they don't have that field in playing condition by the time we roll into town on Friday. I believe the worst they will get is rain on Wednesday, so they should be good to go. Although Uribe is my favorite Sox player, so forgive me if I sound biased here. And I do love what Cintron can bring to the table, but theres no way we forget about what Uribe's defense can do for a pitching staff that still hasnt found its groove. Granted that he's barely hitting over .200, Cintron is barely .270 himself. Its not that big of an offensive upgrade. I personally love Cintron's role right now, he's such a great clutch hitter, and can play 2B/SS/3B, I would much rather see him as a spot player and leave Uribe starting as SS.

It was an amazing catch, I saw it live and I got off my seat in amazement, which is rare for being on the couch at home. Without a doubt, that may be play of the year when its all said and done. I still thought a couple of band-aids would have done the trick for him to stay in the game though :-) Oh, I forgot to add this in, just check the phillies mlb site tonight, they will definitly post this one right after the game im sure as a video clip.

Ahh, and now I see a 17 page on Haeger.... Somebody hit me over the head, I was looking for a Contreras on DL type headline. Sigh... it must be Monday.

Why is Haeger getting the start over McCarthy. Is it simply McCarthy's arm isnt ready to pitch more than 60-65 pitches? I personally think McCarthy should pitch about that pitch count and then bring in Haeger for long relief if need be. It doesnt sound like Jose will be gone all that long, 2 starts I'm thinking right now, but for the benefit of winning, I would hate to throw in a guy that has no MLB experience if we have someone ready just for this situation right here.
