Yeah, most definitly, he usually hits a just miss foul almost every game during this streak. But honestly, what I'm looking for out of Carlos is getting that RISP average up, and as that goes up, so will his power numbers as he gets more comfortable at the plate with runners on. Im just hoping he can get to #21 so that the national coverage on Sunday Night Baseball gets Carlos some pub for the major leagues longest hitting streak.

You got to like Ozzie's move to put in Dransfeld, he's hit the ball well all day against Mulder, and you just know Valentin would have at least 2 K's against most of this slow breaking stuff. Maybe we'll see Jose for a pinch hit when Mulder is pulled...

Especially if Mulder finally settles in and gets the hitters off balence. I forgot to give props to Carlos for hitting that opposite field smash to extend the hit streak to 19! Its much easier to defend Carlos when he's swinging the bat like this, hopefully if he makes another running error, people won't be so quick to critisize when looking at what else Carlos does for the team.

Yes, please ignore the fact he was our best player last year.(.295, 30 HR, 110 RBI, 100 Runs) That is the most retarded post i've ever seen. This same agressive play last year caused him to lead the team in stolen bases easily with 20 on a team that didnt steal under JM. He's not even close to his HR potential this year, and his avg will be around .320 in June if everything keeps up.... He did make a bonehead play there, and yes he hasnt come through in the clutch, but to be comparing him to Pasqua? Thats just wrong...

Ok, even I am pissed off at Carlos on that play. Thats just rediculus how far he was trying to lead off. You can look at it that he was being too agressive, but that was just stupid agressive... Sighh.... I look forward to replying to trying to defend Carlos this time... Oh well... 16 game hit streak now... yay i guess

Lets not forget that in the years past, he has been very clutch in key situations.... I believe last year he was batting .330 with RISP, so theres no way he keeps this up. And... he cant do much worse... so you gotta expect some postive things to happen...

But seriously, how can you be mad at someone that continues a hit streak to 15 and goes 2 for 5 with a double....
