No walks & 16 strikeouts . been watching the game a long time, and i've never seen that . launch angle is all well and good, but it means little if there is no one on base to score runs . take walks, work the count, and go the other way, whatever happened to that.

Fell asleep halfway through the game . watching the second half of the game now . damn, I guess that I missed a good one . looks like we caught the Dodgers at the right time . maybe Jake Burger will get the attention that he deserves now . hope that Clevinger is ok..

Tim Anderson - Rally Killer

Of all of the supposed all stars that we were supposed to have, Jake Burger is the star of this team.

My dad and uncle lefty, took me too a ton of games when I was a kid, growing up in Brighton Park . while they got drunk and talked mostly about about Korea, we would wander around the park . some of my earliest memories are playing with my cousins, up by the arches in Comiskey Park . when I got older, we would ride our bikes to the park, and spend 50 cents to sit in the outfield, which I loved, since outfield defense has always been my favorite part of the game.. Right after my dad died, my cousin, Jerry Kuc, father of Chris, the White Sox and Blackhawks beat writer, they took me in for a few weeks, and it really helped me get over a very difficult time . I never thanked him for that, but it helped tremendously . he took me to my first Cubs game then, which my dad would not have liked . he hated the Cubs . we sat in the bleachers, and I only remember that some guy kept yelling Randy Hundley's name. Those times at the park , were some of the best of my life, and I only wish that I had pictures of that.

I watch the Marlins quite a bit, and they seem to do this to teams a lot . that's no excuse though.

I hope that someone will ask, why not guard the line late in the game, with a lead, to protect against doubles, just like the one that killed them.
