  1. Damn, thought Crede split the gap on that.
  2. Can they edit these commercial any worse?
  3. I know it is the 1st, but I'd pitch around Emil.
  4. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 05:06 PM) MAPLE!
  5. Oh well, Blanton is 4-11 with an ERA near 5. If we can't score off him despite Uribe in the line up, we don't deserve to win.
  6. Smackdown is delayed tonight on WGN cuz of baseball, but the first segment with HHH and MVP is good stuff. I watched it on youtube. Good exchanges between the two.
  7. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Jul 4, 2008 -> 03:59 PM) Yep at 2B, per Reifert... OC, SS; AJ, C; Q, LF; Dye, RF; Thome, DH; Crede, 3B; Swish, 1B; Uribe, 2B; Wise, CF WTF?
  8. They got the podcast of those segments on espnradio1000.com. He was on July 2nd. Fun listen.
  9. With Konerko coming back Tuesday, Gonzalez writes that Swish, will of course, go back to CF. With the way we have played since Kong went to the DL, it enforces that fact that Thome is clogging the line up. I like the platoon of BA and Wise in CF. I'd like Swisher to RF and DH Dye, personally.
  10. I read North was on with Mac, Jurko, and Harry a few days ago. That would of been kind of surreal if I heard it. If they could ditch the Bristol talk from Noon-2pm, North would be a good fit there. Only two hours a day. 4 hours was way too much and got stale. Also a good lead in for MJ&H. Just a thought.
  11. How dare you steal attention from America!
  12. I like how the lesser known eaters have gimics like the old WWF days.
  13. "Kobayashi looks like a combination of Carrot Top and Amy Winehouse this year!"
  14. Sources told FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal that the Brewers are offering Matt LaPorta in a proposed deal for C.C. Sabathia. Or at least that's what the Indians are telling other suitors in order to drive up the price. If it's true, then Milwaukee shouldn't need to add much more to the pot. Rosenthal says that shortstop Alcides Escobar could also be involved, but it's hard to imagine that happening unless the Indians sent additional talent Milwaukee's way (Rafael Betancourt? Masa Kobayashi?). Jul. 4 - 1:04 am et
  15. Marmol craps the bed again, this time the Cubs were already losing though. Gave up a 3 run homer to Rich Aurillia.
  16. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 3, 2008 -> 09:36 PM) Alexei Ramirez tried a novel idea in the 9th inning. He moved towards the plate. Crede and the rest were sitting in their usual almost out of the box so they can extend their arms stance. You cant reach that low and away crap from there. I know they may miss that inner half pitch that they want to extend on, but with Street sitting on the 1st base side of the pitching rubber its never every coming. Yet Crede got the hit and Alexei struck out. Go figure.
  17. I can't imagine any team giving up anything for Uribe unless they are totally clueless.
  18. Gilbert Arenas becomes the most over paid player in the NBA. 6 years and $111 million from Washington.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 3, 2008 -> 07:53 AM) Question for those who know where to look... How many games into the season was Cleveland 15 games back in 2005? I know what your getting at, but Hafner was a beast that year along with Victor. They are both hurt and Hafner is not coming back in the foreseeable future.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2008 -> 08:19 PM) Why in the hell would you throw him a fastball there? Jose's had a miserable fastball tonight, and he throws it to their one good hitter. Horrible location. Down the middle.
