  1. One thing I'm proud of this team (the White Sox) for is that they have no covid emergencies (I don't think they have had a positive test since the season started) and crossed the 85% threshold pretty quickly. We aren't hearing the crap about vaccines we are hearing out of the Cubs clubhouse and we certainly aren't seeing the outbreaks we are seeing on the other teams.
  2. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2016/07/23/chris-sale-cut-up-all-of-the-white-sox-throwback-jerseys-because-he-didnt-like-wearing-it/ 76. What year did Veck employ the shorts?
  3. I'd go Rodon. But Andrew is definitely the position player MVP.
  4. I wouldn't mind seeing Leury platoon with Andrew out there once TA gets healthy again but the fact is, you have to ride him and hope he gets out of this funk he's in. Luis did manage to get out of the slump for the very brief playoff series last year. Maybe Vaughn does the same. Although, once Engel does get back and if Sheets continues to put up quality at bats, I don't mind seeing Engel and Sheets starting over Vaughn.
  5. " "I definitely think that's fair to say," he said. "I'm open and honest with everything that I say and do. And shoot, I've been probably β€” not probably β€” I have been the weakest starter in the rotation for much of the year. That just speaks volumes to the advancement of (Dylan) Cease and (Carlos) RodΓ³n being the guy that everybody expected him to be. (Lucas) Giolito and (Lance) Lynn have been themselves, and it's just me kind of bringing up the rear. "Of course, I think about it. It's what everybody plays for. Once you get a taste of the postseason, that's all you want to do from there on out. So I've definitely thought about it, but letting myself get rolled up into that idea is the least of my worries right now. I've just got to make sure that I'm myself come Oct. 3, the last game of the year, and whatever happens happens. "But I've always been a team-first guy. So if it doesn't work out, I'm going to be as mad as whoever else isn't on it. But at the same time, if you're not getting the job done, you don't expect a spot if you're not putting up the numbers and doing your job." I really think you are taking what he is saying completely out of context.
  6. Yeah and he was getting lit up as well against the Blue Jays. Lynn can put some dominant starts together when he gets back and it's his.
  7. Figured I'd start this. Great hitting by Luis and Cesar. Great outing by Jimmy Lambert. Crochet, Tepara, Kimbrel, and Hendriks are nails.
  8. It's the high holidays. He never broadcasts on the high holidays.
  9. No I think you are right. I think he does have two curve balls, a knuckle curve and more of a power curve.
  10. My friend who is a Red Sox fan said it looks like Snoopy pretending to be a vulture.
  11. Kimbrel's curve is nasty. It almost reminds me a bit of Shingo in the way it kind of moves like a Frisbee.
  12. There is no way that is called foul if Jason was in person
  13. If they can bust this open, put Kopech in and let him attempt to work through his issues.
  14. Tepara is the silent assassin in the bullpen. Nobody talks about him or notices him but he's fucking deadly.
  15. I'm not sure why you are saying Crochet is a bullpen guy.
