  1. Jones hotdogging came back to haunt him. I hate when he catches it with one hand all nonchalant. Now he gets turned around and looks silly. Ugh.
  2. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 13, 2010 -> 05:26 PM) If he is still with Great Falls when they play the Billings Mustangs I'll go check him out for everyone That's cool. He's got a nice swing and doesn't seem to strike out much. Then again, it is Pioneer League pitching.
  3. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 13, 2010 -> 03:01 PM) Hey, get your own AAP! LOL! I actually thought of that after I posted the thread. You must be a proud papa!
  4. OK, I'm 1/2 serious and he's a 2010 pick in Rookie ball...but he's pounding the ball right now. I'm bored and desperate...not a good combination.
  5. Did we not have a friggin' lefty ready in the pen? Sheesh.
  6. F'ing pathetic. Have we not learned NOT to swing at those stupid pitches??
  7. What a joke both teams got warned. If Danks comes inside and nips someone he and Ozzie are gone...correct?
  8. These Twinkees are playing like Ding-Dongs all the sudden.
  9. Top 2 teams in each division all "meh" over last 10...of course except the Twins. American League EAST L10 NY Yankees 4-6 Tampa Bay 5-5 CENTRAL Minnesota 7-3 Chicago Sox 5-5 WEST Texas 5-5 Oakland 5-5
  10. Hey, what did you guys expect with Morneau in the middle of this potent Twins line-up? Oh crap...that's right, he's still out.
  11. OK, so who's going to start the "Lucas Harrell" appreciation thread? IMO, Sweaty Freddy shouldn't see his next start. Who knows, maybe he'll come up with a sore toe or something.
  12. I may be overreacting, but I've seen enough of Freddie this year. I appreciate the little run he had this year, but there has to be a better option...somewhere. He just throws it up there to be smacked.
  13. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 11:37 PM) And who would have thought 4 days ago that today we'd be tied for first after losing 3 of 4 to the Orioles? Look, the turn around from this team has been nothing short of remarkable since June, that being said, we're in a pennant race now and just because we were terrible in April and May doesn't make series like this any less disappointing. Disappointing series...yes. End of the world...no. Much baseball to be played and I will agree...we need to hit more and play/manage smarter to support the starting pitching we've been getting. You're just not gonna win scoring 2-3 runs...no matter how good our pitching's been. Bring on the Twins!
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 10:31 PM) The only problem is that you gotta get there first. If the pitching is there in September...so will we.
  15. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 9, 2010 -> 09:20 PM) Exactly. This team was 9.5 games out with the same cast of characters. No one was talking about the great chemistry then. They have proven they can be great with this roster and they can be awful with this roster. Hopefully, KW can get another bat, but it certainly doesn't look good. They just lost 3 of 4 to Baltimore and still are in first place, so not all is bad. This.
  16. Who'd a thunk back on June 9th, when we were 24-33 that today we'd be 63-49 and tied for first as of today? Anyone? OK, exhale. See how easy that was? I saw in the game thread where someone commented that these kind of series happen to the best of teams every season. We are no exception. The flip side is I would have loved to see the mood of the board back at the end of April when we swept a 3 game series from the mighty Mariners to move us to 8-11. I don't recall people thumping their chests screaming "THE DIVISION IS OURS!!" LOL Don't get too high, don't get too low. Heck, the Tampa Bay Rays entered tonight's on a 5 game losing streak...it happens. Side note, Kevin Slowey is being skipped with arm trouble. Hmmm... With all that "half full" crap being said, check with me after Thursday. PS and BTW: The Ejax experiment so far looks encouraging.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 7, 2010 -> 08:12 PM) AJP should have just hustled and slid into 3rd instead of pointing for no reason. Hopefully it doesn't cost him the rest of the season. This.
  18. He gone! Ken_Rosenthal: Source: Carlos Delgado agrees to minor-league deal with #RedSox. Must be in majors by Sept. 1 or he can become free agent.
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 6, 2010 -> 09:30 PM) Laporta is a tard But now he's OUR tard.
  20. You can't waste a strong Danks outing when you know Sweaty Freddy's due to get lit up soon...and several times. I hope I'm wrong.
