Sox striking out a ton of times again.
-
Would be nice to walk the bases loaded
-
With these horrible crowds, how can the Sox make money?

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 13, 2012 -> 02:42 AM) Looking at Stewart's career stats, I'd feel comfortable saying the same thing no matter who was at bat. True but Butler is one of the best hitters in the AL Central and Zach is pathetic.
-
I like Billy Butler's chances in this at bat.
-
We should have expected this. Way to beat Hochevar is to go up there and swing aggressively and we know what happens when the Sox try to mash and not hit gappers to the opposite field.
-
This game is the opposite of last night. The series is tied 5-5 (runs).

Dyson looked like he was safe in the full speed shot. But on the replay on my feed he looked out.

QUOTE (Jake @ May 13, 2012 -> 03:26 AM) Needs to be starting in the minors. The only plus of putting him in the pen was that his fastball supposedly got up to mid 90s in those situations -- it has instead dropped. Let him go down, get healthy, figure things out, whatever he needs to do. Yep. He has to be sent down. He's so bad it's sad.
-
Huge game for Humber Sunday. He has been Zach-like since the perfect game. Royals have some big bats. Should be interesting.
-
Royals kicking Sox butts on a rainy night. Wish it woulda got rained out.

Zach is batting practice pitcher bad, wouldn't you all agree?

QUOTE (fathom @ May 13, 2012 -> 03:18 AM) http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/boxscore;_ylt=...F?gid=310918107 Yes but ... this article suggests otherwise Bruce Chen of the Kansas City Royals is hands down the best pitcher in the American League. To the Chicago White Sox, that is. Chen may not be campaigning for a Cy Young award, but he should be campaigning for the chance to start a couple more games against Chicago. Against the rest of the Major League, Chen is a far-from-overpowering lefty who has crafted a 5-5 record behind a 5.03 ERA. In three starts against the White Sox, Chen is 2-0 with a 0.90 ERA. The Royals have won all three of those starts, including the 5-1 victory over Chicago that dropped them five games behind Detroit in the AL Central standings. Chen had a 4.54 ERA and an 0-3 record in five previous career starts against Chicago. In 2011, he is suddenly the reincarnation of Warren Sphan. The White Sox could manage only one hit in the six innings Chen pitched Friday night, falling to 3-6 against the Royals in the season series.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 12, 2012 -> 06:21 PM) I was thrashing (while awake) and having ones where I didn't black out that I could sense. Those I was able to suppress. It's the four that have blacked me out that have absolutely decimated me. You didn't answer. Do you have a lot of tests scheduled or did doctors just say this is something you have to live with? Sounds like you need a trip to Mayo for full testing, etc.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 13, 2012 -> 03:16 AM) No CG...........Holland 8th..............Broxton 9th. Sox have no chance against Holland but Broxton is hittable.
-
QUOTE (Jake @ May 13, 2012 -> 03:12 AM) wtf are you talking about?? Chen is a Sox killer. It's an automatic W for Chen when he faces the Sox. I am saying I hope it's not the same for Luke this year when he faces the Sox up to five times.
-
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 13, 2012 -> 03:09 AM) We will win this game I beg to differ. This has complete game by Luke written all over it. I hope next time we face Hochevar we have a clue lest he turn into another Sox killer (see Chen).

QUOTE (fathom @ May 13, 2012 -> 03:08 AM) You really need to stop caring so much what the record says, especially for a team that now seems to have their closer issues resolved. Way too early to start worrying about how many games above/below .500 the Sox are at. Is it too early to worry about the team's home record? Playing this badly at home will eventually spiral the Sox into next to last place if it continues.
-
Needless to say, Sunday's game is huge. To lose 2 of 3 to this team will mean the home woes continue for the White Sox. And a loss Sunday, if KC completes a win over the dead Sox tonight, would mean team is three under .500 again.

QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ May 13, 2012 -> 02:56 AM) That movie was making fun of you. I know. I am smart enough to not give up on a 3-0 game, but it's looking like a complete game by Hochevar right now.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 13, 2012 -> 02:53 AM) Then why are you watching? Didn't you watch the movie Major League? A lot of us are like that Indians fan played by Randy Quaid.
-
QUOTE (Jake @ May 13, 2012 -> 02:52 AM) You'll be hard pressed to find a group of fans that doesn't think they get beaten by "nobodies" and "the league's punching bags" etc. too often Yeah, but this nobody had a 9.0 ERA.
-
QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 13, 2012 -> 02:51 AM) Feel bad for the fans with the weather and watching this crap. Hope they at least ate some of the delicious ballpark food. Also, it's not over at 3-0 necessarily.
-
QUOTE (Jake @ May 13, 2012 -> 02:42 AM) some people get some kind of sick pleasure in seeing the Sox fail why don't you just predict good things to happen so you can stroke your ego as we win? QUOTE (fathom @ May 13, 2012 -> 02:42 AM) Chen was great against the entire AL Central last year 1.) If you are talking about me, you are sick. I want the Sox to win almost too much as Fathom can attest. Losing freaks me out. 2.) That's after we saved his career. He was s*** til he mowed the Sox down.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ May 13, 2012 -> 01:38 AM) Hochevar's pitched well. Done a good job of throwing strikes when he gets to 3 balls on a hitter. He's gotten very lucky that he got the first out of the last two innings on absolute rockets. Perhaps. But don't you get tired of the Sox struggling against guys abused by the rest of the league? Sox singlehandedly saved Chen's career.
