5/15 Tigers vs. White Sox
Nice comeback, but predictable ending. Sox can't get over the hump. Close calls matter not. We lost at home again.

5/15 Tigers vs. White Sox
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 15, 2012 -> 10:36 PM) I'll take that bet. QUOTE (59th street @ May 15, 2012 -> 10:52 PM) Oh please; getz cheats up the middle because he cannot go to his right at all. Did you ever actually watch him play or do you just like to b**** about everything. Same thing to the genius (probably a cub fan) complaining about Viceado when he charged the ball and then dropped it; errors of comission happen in the game of baseball. Given his history he will hit and we need hitters. GO SOX ! Who cares about defense from your second baseman? I am saying Beckham can't hit. Getz is the same player, arguably a better player than Beckham.

Beckham is no better than Chris Getz. That is all. And that is a fact.

Beckham, BTW, should be ashamed of himself. Hitting .196 this deep into his career. Wow.

5/15 Tigers vs. White Sox
QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 15, 2012 -> 08:47 PM) Why does these things happen to the Sox so often? I watch alot of baseball this s*** does not happen around the league! QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ May 15, 2012 -> 08:51 PM) Yes, usually when something like that happens, the board explodes. Shock maybe? Or maybe resignation. Yesterday's come from behind win was too good to be true. LOL. The Sox blew a 6-0 lead? What a joke. About right, however, the team wouldn't want to ever go north of .500 overall or even reach .500 at home. The board I predict won't explode the rest of the year. We know what kind of a team we have right now. You don't get mad at a horses*** team, you get sad.

2012 White Sox Catch-All thread
Don't call us bad fans because we can't get all enthused over a team still below .500 that's played so s***ty the last 2 plus seasons. Cmon.

Tigres at Palehose 5/14
Thank god Tank finally hit a homer. I knew my blasting him and finally giving up on him would be a reverse jinx. I can't believe Beckham is hitting .202 in mid May. My god. Time to get a 1-2-3 close job. No drama.

Dunn will play LF during interleague
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 14, 2012 -> 11:24 PM) If Dunn gets hurt playing LF, there will be calls for Ventura's head. Maybe, but if Jerry and the investors were against it, they'd prolly tell Kenny and he'd put a stop to it. I'm really down on Viciedo. Just another Sox off to a slow start in his career. I guess it's natural (look at KC's Hosmer now sucking) but it is disappointing that Tank sucks so far.

Sale back to the rotation per KW, MRI comes back clean
QUOTE (fathom @ May 14, 2012 -> 07:09 PM) Why would Beckham get Kenny fired? It was a great pick, one that supposedly everyone in the organization was thrilled to see. There's a gigantic difference between making a logical move only for it to not work out (ie: Beckham drafted, Dunn signed to fill DH spot) and making a move that makes no sense to anyone and having it work out pretty much like everyone expected it to (ie: Hudson trade, very possibly the Santos trade also). Cause he's a first-round bust. You make good points about it being a logical pick, but he turned out to be a dime a dozen second baseman. Good field, no hit. He's not through yet, but close to being deemed a total bust.

Dunn will play LF during interleague
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 14, 2012 -> 03:55 PM) It's going to be a disaster anywhere you play him, you jsut hope that he doesn't have too many balls come his way over the 4-5 games you put him out there over the season, because there's going to be an error or two at the least. Might as well play Dunn. Viciedo is an automatic out and is nothing special on defense. Team is going nowhere so might as well play Dunn to make the game more fun. He might hit a batch of bombs vs. the Flubs. Viciedo not so much. With Dunn as hot as he is with the long ball, he needs to get a ton of at bats in interleague play.

Sale back to the rotation per KW, MRI comes back clean
QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 13, 2012 -> 03:08 PM) No contradiction at all. This team is at the end of its window to win, if it does not there is nothing on the farm to rebuild with and no logical reason for keeping Williams. Beckham is the guy who might get Kenny fired. He looks like a bust. Morel quite frankly doesn't look like a major league starting third baseman cept for defense. And Flowers is no everyday stud catcher. But Beckham is the guy that really is making Kenny look bad IMO. Kenny apparently survived the Rios acquisition which was all-time bad, but Jerry appears to have forgiven him for that one. Our young talent in the major and minor leagues cept for some pitching is really really mediocre to bad.

GT 5-13-12 Sox vs Royals, 1:10pm

GT 5-13-12 Sox vs Royals, 1:10pm
QUOTE (Jake @ May 14, 2012 -> 05:08 AM) you have a very odd preoccupation with our home record. let it sort itself out Check baseball standings each and every year. Teams that finish below .500 at home turn out to be abysmal teams.

QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ May 10, 2012 -> 10:51 PM) I was born in miami and now i live in chicago. The sox are my second favorite team. I like this forum because of greg and i also love watching balta and ss2k fight each other. Ozzie has the Marlins rolling. Congrats to you.

GT 5-13-12 Sox vs Royals, 1:10pm
QUOTE (mcgrad70 @ May 13, 2012 -> 11:56 PM) Sox will catch the Twins this year - no question about it. The Sox home record would indicate the team is going to finish in the bottom five of all teams. How bad they freefall is anybody's guess, but you can't have this kind of home record and even be close to .500.

GT 5-13-12 Sox vs Royals, 1:10pm
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2012 -> 08:19 PM) You're not out, that'd make you 19x in, because you'd get to gloat, and that's what you're waiting for. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 13, 2012 -> 08:37 PM) Sure is...I don't know what their problem is at home...it's disgusting QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 13, 2012 -> 10:04 PM) Just got back from the game. The white sox offense will keep them from winning anything. 1. I meant out for today. Luckily I left that horrible baseball game to do something else. Why do I want to gloat? I want the team to win. I bought the f***ing MLB package again this year with the hopes the Sox would win. Little did I know Dunn would improve, Rios would actually do some positive things and Peavy would excel and the team STILL would stink. 2.) The problem is the Sox have a very bad baseball team when the team is not hitting home runs. Very very bad. 3.) Very true. Should be interesting to see if the team is out of it by the end of May. What was the mood at the stadium, Chappas? When they booed Thornton were they booing him or the team in general?
