QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 11:13 AM) Fine I'll go home and never return again...... You were the main guy I was targeting with this post....

I agree, I think Marte will be off. Other than that, should remain the same.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan13 @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 11:07 AM) Agreed. Although I hate to say it: bandwagon fans = more fans = better attendance = more $$$ for (re)signing players I agree with the money part, other than that, they can all go to hell for all I care.

It feels even better the morning after. Full speed ahead.

Hope that sock gets cleaned.

I would just like to say to all of the bandwagon jumpers who are trying to get on this truck that is steamrolling ahead that we don't want you! Everyone at Soxtalk knows who has been with us through the thick and the thin. It's just gross how all of these "White Sox" fans are emerging from the woodwork now that we are a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs. I remember the third game of the season, when we barely had 10,000 people at the game. I was there. Where were all of these bums? I would just like to give a big hell YEAH to all of my fellow soxtalkers who have been here since the beginning and have been Sox fans for years and a lot of us since birth. We are the ones who are enjoying this the most. And to the chat crew, it's been a great season and thank you for letting me become the people's admin....

QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Oct 8, 2005 -> 09:55 AM) this is the best day of my life as a white sox fan It's only going to get better. This is just an appetizer.

Red and Red, you are clueless on this. If you think Berman was calling this right down the middle, removed the 3 pound glob of ear wax from your ear. The douchebag ended the game with the Red Sox season is over. He cried when Graffanino made the error. He creamed his pants during the Manny and Ortiz HRs. He went into cardiac arrest when they left the bases loaded with no outs. He didn't call the game down the middle. Also, I just want to say, for all of the Soxtalk faithful, there is no way in hell that anyone can be a legitimate fan of two major sports teams in the same league. It just doesn't happen. White Sox fans hate every other team so much it would sicken them to cheer for a organization like the Red Sawx. Thanks for playing though.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 10:24 PM) Why is that? Umps are only allowed to work one series in the postseason, IIRC.
-
Best thing about it is that moron won't be calling anymore games the rest of the postseason.
-
HAVE FUN ON YOUR NEXT CURSE... BY MY ESTIMATION, IT'LL BE THE CURSE OF THE GRAFFANINO UNTIL THE LATE 2000'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!

QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 10:05 AM) What's in Bristol...?? Juuusssttttt kidding. Boz.. come up here anyway. I would if I knew I could get lowers for a reasonable price, say under $300 bones. That's a long drive with no guaranteed ticket.

QUOTE(JimH @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 10:02 AM) The main reasons why they don't put tix on sale at the box office: - Crowd control - Security, fights, theft - People who'd complain they can't get to the box office That's why doing it via phone/internet "supposedly" gives everyone an equal chance to get tix. There would be long loud complaints no matter how they did it. It is simply supply and demand. I think the real reason I get pissed is all of the bandwagon jumpers who don't know Juan Uribe from Pablo Ozuna will be at the game while guys like myself, who can recite the Bristol pitching rotation in my sleep, will be stuck at home watching Joe Buck and Tim McCarver.... Get my drift.

QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 10:00 AM) Pfftt.... BTW.. sorry I missed the call. I was out like a light.. whatcha need? Was going to tell you a funny story. Was out last night, got introduced to a few people. One had a Cubs hat on. Guy with me asked if he was a Cub fan. Kid has the balls to say, no I'm a White Sox fan. What f***ing White Sox fan would actually wear a Cub hat? I wanted to kill the douche.

QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 09:56 AM) MLB CONTROLS CS AND WS TICKETS.... Ask them why... I'll ask whoever I damn well please.... It's just frustrating that when the Sox finally make it to a big game, I can't get in to see in for less than $300 or $400 dollars.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 09:51 AM) You guys bothering Brooks and Scott about this stuff are barking up the wrong tree. These guys don't have even a miniscule say in the procedures for ticket sales. MLB dictates everything when it comes to playoff baseball tickets. EVERYTHING. They are the ones who decide who is going to distribute tickets. You all need to be writing MLB and ticketmaster, not the White Sox. All you are doing is truely wasting their time for stuff they could be actually doing for Sox fans. Put tickets on sale at the box office. Give me a good reason this can't be done.
-
Don't worry, I'm already prepping my speech for Soxfest to totally rip into the Sox, whoever is on stage at the time, for the way they have handled these ticket situations. This is just awful. The fans, like myself, who attend games regularly during the regular season when I can (I live 5 hrs away) get totally screwed and brokers end up with all of the good seats. They sure will take your money for any series during the season when there's plenty of seats available. But hell, when its on the line and the real FANS want to go, the f***ing tickets aren't available. f***ing bulls*** if you ask me and I am going to let my feelings be known to Brooks or whoever else I need to embarass on stage.
