As Always, thanks for the info Tom.

Crede has been playing well since returning from injury. Therefore, this post doesn't make much sense as it concerns Joe.

QUOTE(Mercy! @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 04:22 PM) Jeez! Do I look STOOPID? Tell you what, just to get you off the ledge - how about if I make the Ozzie wager with you (and only you) for $200?

QUOTE(Mercy! @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 04:17 PM) If things go completely south, perhaps we might expect to see Jerry call a press conference and accept responsibility for the collapse, then go to a prayer service with his wife, and finally appoint Karl Rove to head up the team rebuilding. P.S. - The Sox aren’t going to miss the playoffs, and Ozzie isn’t going to be fired. I’d be happy to accept $20 wagers with everyone in this thread regarding Ozzie's 2006 employment status. What about wagers on the Sox playoff status?

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 04:16 PM) The point several of you missed is Iguchi is fed up with Guillen resting him every other day. He must be just as confused and agitated with Guillen's lineups as we've been recently. Point in resting him regularily in July/August was to prepare him for September/October stertch run. Well, it's arrived; and unfortunately, Sox have made this division close. Time to quit babying our lineup. Is it difficult to maintain the same "A" lineup (without Timo, Blum, Ozuna) for one week regardless of matchups? Thank you, I feel the exact same way when I see this s***ty lineups on a consistent basis.

You forgot his red slippers.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 02:36 PM) Santana vs El Duque. LOL You dont need to throw darts at the dartboard to figure out who is going to win this. A more true statement couldn't have been said here. El Duque is horrible.

QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 03:30 PM) No, Ozzie should not be fired, and shouldnt even be worrying about his job. You know why? We werent expecting the World Series this year. I, for one, was hoping for the playoffs and winning the central, so if we miss the playoffs, yes, it will be a disappointment considering how we played earlier this year, but no, Ozzie shouldnt be fired over it. This would go down as one of the biggest chokejobs I've seen in my lifetime (in any sport) if we don't make the playoffs. And yes, everyone, INCLUDING Ozzie, should be blamed if we don't make the playoffs. It's easy to sit here and say, well before the season, yada yada yada. We obviously aren't in that boat now. We are in the boat of having a 15 game lead dwindle to 4.5 and watching a (as Heather Lee would say) passionless motherf***ing b****ass dips*** team take the field. The preseason expectations are thrown out the window. Look at what has happened the past few weeks. There is no positive way to spin it, unless you're drinking that organizational koolaid with your blinders on saying everything is alright.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 02:37 PM) You've left us with only 4 starting pitchers. And an even worse offense than we've got this year. I didn't say we would be competitive if we did this. It's called rebuilding for a reason. I'd also like to note that I would move Cotts to the rotation. Making it Buehrle, Garland, Garcia, McCarthy and Cotts
-
If the team misses the playoffs, here would be my plans after the season and I am not joking. Some might refer to this as the Cleveland model for rebuilding. Trade Jose Contreras and Orlando Hernandez for prospects Let Paul Konerko, Frank Thomas and Carl Everett go via free agency Trade Damaso Marte or release him Resign Jon Garland to a long term deal Resign AJ Pierzynski Trade Jermaine Dye for prospects, put Brian Anderson full-time in RF Find a decent third baseman

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Sep 16, 2005 -> 12:48 PM) Getting that out in the press is almost a more polite way of saying he wants out, in my book. Too bad we'd have no shot to get him, I'd deal for him in a heartbeat.

QUOTE(BurlyMan56 @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 10:59 PM) My mom just called me from back home. I'm at ISU and she said she booked the weekend. She said it was 140 a night to stay, but on the site it says 249 for the double play package. She's calling back tommorrow to do it as usual theres usually a problem at the Hyatt front desk..A pain but worth it. What she booked wasn't the Soxfest package, FYI.

Oh Ozzie, your chair is waiting for you at Soxfest. This should be fantastic. It'll be standing room only in that room as the venom seeps at our "manager."

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 05:45 PM) I was thinking this is too early to book the packages. I was gonna ask if we should just book it now, but you answered that for me I figured we'll auction off on ebay a chance for two female Sox fans (looks permitting) to stay in a suite with us at the Fest. All proceeds will go to the find a date for Heads foundation of course ;-)

Hyatt says the packages can't be booked until October 15th. This conflicts with what the Soxfest hotline and website says. I emailed Brooks on this and am awaiting response.

QUOTE(JimH @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 11:55 AM) Yes, he has one more year left on his contract and the Sox will keep him around as an insurance policy, just like the Yankees did for a few years. I wouldn't count on him for more than 15 starts though. At this point he can probably give you 125 serviceable innings - that's it during the course of a year. Do you consider yesterday's two innings serviceable? Just wondering.

Wait you let Willie Harris touch you?

As much as I love Borchard as a person, probably the nicest Sox player I've ever met, he never lived up the huge expectations that came with that signing bonus. Quite frankly, I know most Sox fans are tired of hearing about him and he's best off going elsewhere. Only chance he is back next season is if PK leaves, Dye moves to 1B, Anderson plays RF and Borchard is the backup OF. Even then, he'd have to compete with Timo and that's a longshot. I figure he'll go to a West coast team in the offseason.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 09:59 AM) OT: How do you change the time zone on here? I can't find it. My controls, then under options on the left side, board settings.

QUOTE(kman @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 09:32 PM) laparka nice, im surprised any1 knew him on here. That's from the PPV where they had the cruiserweight battle royal and Malenko came out in the end and won it. Same one where Jericho made all of the funny ass introductions of everyone.
