  1. QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 11:35 AM) Feels like this -> :banghead :banghead Exactly, plus isn't Wills happy in TB?
  2. I repeat, Farmer is going to do PBP, why would they bring back Wills? He is a PBP guy, not color.
  3. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 11:01 AM) Seriously give them all playing time against the Royals... I wouldn't expect much PT until we have the division clinched.
  4. Now we all know why Scotty has a tough time getting work done in the cage. In all seriousness, congrats Scott!
  5. RIP EMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. If El Duque can't beat KC rather easily, pull him from the rotation and put in Brandon.
  6. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 09:38 PM) And Crede, ... I like his banner. Crede has been contributing more as a website banner than on the field. Imagine that.
  7. Playoff Roster will be: 11 Pitchers: Buehrle, Garcia, Hernandez, Contreras, Garland, McCarthy, Jenks, Marte, Politte, Cotts, Hermanson (Vizcaino left off) 14 Hitters: Pierzynski, Widger, Crede, Uribe, Iguchi, Konerko, Podsednik, Rowand, Dye, Everett, Perez, Blum, Ozuna, Harris Now, if right before the playoffs, Hermy has huge back problems, you could see Viz substituted in there for Harris.
  8. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 09:21 PM) I agree, Melton would be several steps down from Rooney. Unless Wills got and accepted the gig, which I'd doubt very highly if the money they offered Rooney was as much of a joke as has been suggested here, the radio broadcasts next year are going to really suffer. Farmer is going to be handling the pbp, so I don't see Wills coming back.
  9. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 06:26 PM) Anyway closed the forum down and moved it into the archive section of the board. We'll probably re-open it during the off-season, unless people would prefer to keep all that discussion on the main board (whichever the masses prefer we'll do). I also moved over the two active threads that were in that forum (one made by tony and than the other on Furcal). Loser
  10. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 09:16 PM) What's wrong with Melton? Seems like a very knowledgable guy. He is beyond awful on the TV pregames and postgames and on the radio he really adds nothing. Hell Dolgin carries him on the pre and post. Just say no to Melton!
  11. Also remember the chatroom will be open for today's game. Make sure to stop by and say hello. Live Sox Game Chat - Click Here
  12. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 12:02 AM) Aww s***, I just noticed this. Happy B-Day man !! Same here, Happy Belated Birthday.
  13. QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 11:01 AM) I think Anderson re-joins tomorrow. Along with Borchard and Bajenaru, I believe.
  14. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 10:53 AM) Lineups 1 Scott Podsednik, LF 2 Tadahito Iguchi, 2B 3 Carl Everett, DH 4 Paul Konerko, 1B 5 Aaron Rowand, CF 6 Timo Perez, RF 7 Chris Widger, C 8 Geoff Blum, 3B 9 Juan Uribe, SS LF Kevin Youkilis, 3B Edgar Renteria, SS David Ortiz, DH Manny Ramirez, LF Trot Nixon, RF Jason Varitek, C Kevin Millar, 1B Tony Graffanino, 2B Gabe Kapler CF We actually have a decent lineup for this one. Yes Timo is in, but I think all of us thought it was going to be worse than it is. I'm glad Damon is not in. One thing I would have liked to see was Pablo at 3rd for Blum. Other than that, its fine.
  15. Looks like its going to be 72 degrees and partly cloudy for the first pitch.
  16. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 10:46 AM) Hopefully it's on ESPN for everyone and Steve Stone is doing the game. If he's not, I'll be watching NESN on the dish.
  17. I agree with nite, I do want Cotts to be a starter, but he's doing great over the past few months. Props to Cotts for stepping it up bigtime this year (even though I religiously bashed him).
  18. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 10:36 PM) Plus a lot of people are going back to school. In a lot of cases, this is great for the site.
  19. When using the iTrip, make sure the volume level of your ipod is not greater than 75 or 80 percent of the maximum. If it is, you'll get a horrible sound. It's better to turn the ipod down and the radio up if you want clear reception. It can also be very tricky to find a station that works mostly everywhere in your town, but after you do, the device works pretty damn well.
  20. Cincy is so close for me I'll make plans to be at all 3 games. Also will have to be at the Cardinals games at home.
  21. RIP EMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Anyone know if there is a way to get an audio clip of It's A Goner anywhere online?
  23. My prediction: LF Pods 2B Harris DH Everett 1B Konerko CF Rowand RF Perez SS Uribe 3B Blum C Widger
  24. QUOTE(quickman @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 05:39 PM) Aboz wait till they let buerhle go one day, and it will happen. Of course they will, especially if they don't present him an offer that is up to his fair market value.
