  1. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 21, 2005 -> 05:01 PM) Going to the games. Loser
  2. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 21, 2005 -> 04:47 PM) How many players around the league hit .300 every month .290 every month, .280 every month, .270 every months of the season? You will be shocked at how few are ''consistent''. Many players will have a couple sub .250 months. What konerko did this year is far from out of the ordinary. Oh, I know that. But then again, not many players around the league are paid 12-14 million per season either. Do I think Konerko is our best player? By far. Is he worth crippling our payroll long term for? Hell no.
  3. Konerko's dad shouldn't be making comments about his contract situation on the eve of the World Series to any reporters. For those comments, he looks like an ass to all of us fans. Anyhow, Paul just needs to help us get 4 more wins and I could honestly care less whether or not he is brought back. Not one of my favorite Sox players at all. Like his production, hate his inconsistency during the regular season, especially when he sucks for a month or two. As long as a suitable replacement is brought along, which I think Dye going to 1B could be the move, I'll be satisfied. Our team is built around pitching, not Konerko. We don't need any albatross contracts. Signing Garland to a long term deal should be our top priority this offseason, not Konerko.

  5. I may have an extra for a few of the days, depending on who I bring up there. I usually give my extras away but this year could be different. Right now we have 3 people in our room and we may add a 4th.
  6. QUOTE(lººk @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 10:55 PM) Thank you for welcoming me . Let me have a proper introduction. I am a MLB fan since 1989. I have two favortite AL teams. First Toronto Blue Jays and second Chicago White Sox. I would gladly take any questions from you all. lººk Here is a question... Why would anyone cheer for Toronto?
  7. Now Sunday tickets become a must for me. Buehrle, World Series, MERCY!
  8. HAHA, he was seriously possessed in that Lauer interview.... No such thing as a chemcial imbalance? Get a clue jackass!!!!!!!
  9. Twins, is this even a question? As much as I dislike some of the Minnesota players, they actually have some guys who respect like Hunter, Nathan, Santana, etc. Also have a good manager. I dislike the Tigers a whole lot more than Minnesota. Cubs, on the other hand, I totally hate as every Sox fan should. I would never root for those bastages under any circumstance.
  10. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 03:49 PM) Totally unrelated note, but Brandon Wood (SS for Angels) hit 4 HR's in his debut in the AFL (at least thats what I heard someone say). Orlando Cabrera, your plane will be boarding soon... (If they can find someone to take that albatross contract)
  11. Looks like Tracey is getting lit up....
  12. Thanks for the heads up on that. Glad they answered your question. Always good to hear talk about the Sox minors.
  13. Great news for him and his family, now sign him to a contract extension, pronto!
  14. QUOTE(Takatsufan @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 10:24 PM) Congrats, Ozzie. You've done fantastic in your first 2 years here. I can't even imagine the future; its too good to be true It can only get worse from here, in all actuality.
  15. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 09:30 PM) Tony, it's all a crap shoot at this point. It's all going to depend on the demand at the park. If a ton of brokers are walking around with tickets that didn't sell... then the odds are good. The fact that people got CS tickets for under face after the first pitch is a good indicator. What those idiots don't realize is that Sox fans would rather watch the game at a bar then to spend $500 to go in. Once they get that, the prices will come down. I honestly would not be surprised to see them come down by Thursday by 50% of what they are today. Waiting game, waiting game, waiting game. Right now tickets are at a peak price. Buying now would be stupid. Wait until Friday and see what happens. If the prices are still sky high and a lot of tickets on sites like stubhub and such, prices will come down. These people don't want to eat tickets.
  16. Rooney and Farmer are still calling games. I'll live, I've listened to them all season and rarely listened to Hawk.
  17. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) When this turns out to be bulls***, this person should be banned, IMO. Keep me posted on the outcome.
  18. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:48 PM) They don't sell them on line. You need a ticket package or this season they had a lottery for leftover tickets. You needed to be registered at whitesox.com So how do you register?
  19. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:46 PM) Not even close...get on right when they go on sale your completely fine. For every game? Those are the 3 games I want for next yr. Also, do they go on sale when the regular Sox tickets go on sale?
  20. When they go on sale online, are they as hard to get as what we saw these past few series? Just wondering so I can prepare for next year.
  21. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 18, 2005 -> 03:23 PM) Whoa....whoah, that shouldn't be in green Alex On the bright side, my Brandon McCarthy jersey came in the mail today. Looks freaking sweet. Now hopefully he turns into the pitcher he's capable of being and was down the stretch Whoops your right, sorry about the green.
  22. Look at the bright side... The new Ashlee Simpson cd came out today....
  23. Now I've been stuck at 7 minutes for well 15 minutes.
