  1. Actually he hit .373 combined between the two leagues, but point well made. Sorry, you're right on that. .373 is still excellent though.
  2. Also, if we can survive today, I think we have a good shot with El Goo pitching tomorrow.
  3. In a way, I'm almost glad I have to work tonight. I'll be nervous thinking about the game at work, but at least I'll be able to come home and see what's going on. That'll be much better than the complete smack in the face I got last night watching Loaiza. let's hope Jon has it together tonight.
  4. I've got all of the beatles songs ever made on MP3 on a playlist and just keep them in random. So it's conceivable that in any given day I could go from P.S. I love you to While my guitar gently weeps and back to All my loving. The 2nd album of the White Album isn't as strong as the first, but it's got it's strong points. Sexy Sadie. Cry Baby Cry. Savoy Truffle. to name a few.
  5. If he hits well in the AFL, he'll be given a long look. Numbers show he's no fluke. Hit over .400 over a full season combined in two leagues. Can't ignore that.

    Greetings all

Despite all of you that hate Pierzynski (which I don't like his attitude either), there's no denying that he is a good player. He can hit for avg, he's a solid catcher and he always seems to come up with a clutch hit or a big play. Twins probably won't have him much longer with Mauer coming through the minors. I know it would never happen, but I wouldn't mind one bit if he was on the Sox. He's a royal pain in the ass and other teams hate to face him, but if he was on our side, I think people would feel much differently about him. Mienkiewicz, on the other hand, doesn't even justify discussion.
  7. Knowing KW, he'll probably try to bring back Rios next season...

    Greetings all

I'd like to see us make a run at some of the Twins players, might teach us something about winning big games. Jones and Stewart are two I wouldn't mind seeing on the Southside.
  9. Who do you think will be our everyday centerfielder next season? I say Rowand gets an early look, with Borchard and Reed also getting a shot in spring training. I am going to go out on a limb and say we see Borchard come out in 2004 looking good and hitting much like he did the last month of 2003, which will be much different from the Borchard we saw in the majors this year. I think this will be an exciting competition in spring training and it's something Sox fans will have to look forward to in the offseason.
  10. Good list, seems you love the White Album a lot.
  11. Konerko looks at the ground again after he hits the ball, what the hell is he doing?

    Optimism only

I guess I like our chances on Thursday, but if we don't win tomorrow, Thursday won't matter.
  13. No. I think only the morons who dont like the truth are tired of me. Im used to that. WARNING: You will continue to get a large dose of truth from me, whether its making you happy or not. You can't fault someone who is brutally honest, even if it hurts your feelings or "dreams" about this White Sox season. BELIEVE me, I want the sox to win it all more than(or as much as in a few cases) ANYONE HERE. It doesnt mean I have to live in fantasy land and pretend they have the makeup to win it all, or even win this worthless division. Ive seen enough baseball seasons and games to know better. It's not the "brutal honesty" that angers me. I'd hope that no reasonable person gets "angered" over anything posted on this board. After all, we are all fans here and this is for fun. No reason to argue or get angry.

Exactly, couldn't agree more with your sentiments. Wake up and smell the cheese all of you World Series believers.

We are as dead as the Tigers are in the AL Central. Finished. Cooked. Over with. Completely done. How's that for optimism?

  20. at least we scored a run, perhaps we will score again.
  21. I came back after contemplating jumping off a bridge... What the hell is Mags doing swinging at all of these first pitches?
  22. Yea, but he was also calling a tight zone tonight. Let's see what Schoney is made of.
  23. As do Twins fans for their booing.
