Good to see LeCroy not in the lineup...
-
And the Tub won't be back next season while Mark B will. What's the beef with Buehrle? He's a good guy, catches the first pitch every game at the Cell when he's not pitching and doesn't cause any problems in the clubhouse. Get off his case.

Perhaps because he is a tub of goo....

The few times I've been there, they usually play Bring Me to Life by Evanescence prior to the game, but I don't think that's what you're referring to.

Here's to a White Sox winner tonight.... Strike up the band for E-Lo
-
at least they won one against the Twins, they could have lost all 4.
-
I couldn't wait any longer, had to start it up. Sit back relax and strap it down, lineups should be out soon.

I don't even think this merits discussing at this point. We've got a huge game coming up and I think everyone is reading into this far too much.

I disagree that he is the AL MVP, but plain and simple, he's better than any option we have in the bullpen right now, by far. He may also be the best closer in baseball this season besides Gagne and Smoltz. Of course he's blown up a few times (what closer hasn't, including Rivera in game 7 of the World Series) but wasn't it Jerry Manuel who last season removed Foulke from the closer's role (at Foulke's request) and then never inserted him back into the role after Foulke was dominant the second half of the season. In fact, I remember some Sox fans cringing when Foulke was given the chance to pick up a save (which he did) in a game late in the season last year against Minnesota. Instead of using that as a building block for Foulke, JM fell in love with Osuna and Marte. The guy's good, like him or not.

Wilbon will take the Sox, since he always favors both the Cubs and Sox given his ties to Chicago.

Don't know if anyone else saw this or not, but they were discussing AL MVP on Around the Horn and both Woody Paige and Mariotti picked Keith Foulke as their AL MVP. Not that I agree with them, but if you look at Foulke's numbers, it'll kinda make you sick as a Sox fan. I believe he has 8 wins, 43 saves, a whip of .88 and opponents are hitting under .200 against him. Unreal. Kudos to Keith for a great season.

actually, I think it's another sign that they believe they can beat the Tigers pitching Kirby Puckett, Randy Moss, Kevin Garnett and Jesse Ventura. And the sad thing is, they're probably right. We NEED a Tribe victory 'cause I'm not counting on the Tigers to do anything.

you said too much - that was the B side to paperback writer. http://www.thebeatlesongs.com/images/be_paperback.jpg

Kirchherr was her last name, I believe.

Wasn't it Billy Preston on the keyboards? Yes, it was. Martha My Dear was for Paul's dog. B-side to Paperback Writer was Rain.

Here are my top 10 beatles songs: 10) You Never Give Me Your Money 9) Happy Just To Dance With You 8) In My Life 7) Rain 6) While My Guitar Gently Weeps 5) Across The Universe 4) Nowhere Man 3) Strawberry Fields Forever 2) And Your Bird Can Sing 1) Here, there and everywhere This was a hard list to do, especially because there's not a beatles song that I don't like. However, I tried to avoid the singles, which I feel are the typical favorites of most.

I'm an idiot, I knew Stu, can't believe I got them confused, we talked about him a ton in class.

who was Dear Prudence written for? Julia? Which Beatle did the first solo album (and I still have it)? Who introduced them to marijuana? Without thinking, who was Stu Sutcliff? What was them original name of the haircut? And the immortal line "how can you sleep" was written by whom for whom because of what, and what was the musical response? In the middle of the night I.... what? Let's see how well they taught you! 1) first solo album was done by Ringo, i believe. 2) Prudence I don't exactly remember, Julia was for John's mom. 3) Dylan introduced them to marijuana. 4) Stu was the original drummer of the band. 5) mop-top i believe 6) got me on that one, didn't cover that. and now, a few for you, relatively easy. 1) Who is the song Sexy Sadie directed at? 2) Martha my dear was written for whom? 3) Who appeared on keyboard on Let It Be? 4) Who played lead guitar on While my guitar gently weeps? 5) and finally, what's the B-side to the paperback writer single?

I thought the same thing. Not facing Santana or Milton is a f***ing HUGE break. Not to mention we just missed Pedro and Lowe in the BOston series. Maybe fate? And Mark Prior in both of the Cubs Series....

Rogers and Lohse are both capable of being bombed. Let's do it.
