Mark Buehrle Agrees to 4-yr, 56 mil with escalator clause
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 04:55 PM) At least KW and crew dont have to worry about Aboz leading the torch and pitchfork brigade at soxfest over this. I doubt I would have had any trouble getting others to join the brigade. QUOTE(quickman @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 04:56 PM) Agreed. garland is now the best trading chip. Trade him now. He can bring back big things. If the Mets want to give up Pelfrey/Humber + Milledge, then trade them Garland.

Mark Buehrle Agrees to 4-yr, 56 mil with escalator clause
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 04:39 PM) I'm still surprised Mark accepted such a cheap deal. It'll be fun having a class act like Buehrle around as the face of the franchise for the next 4+ years. Kudos to Kenny Williams. Now get a ridiculous package in return for Garland and I'll be ecstatic. Keep Garland, get rid of Jose, por favor.

Buehrle Fest
I wouldn't blame Williams, I am sure Reinsdorf gets the final call.

KW Speaks about Buehrle's NTC
Williams better give in on this or he is going to be hated by Sox fans for years to come.

InsideTheHall.com
Bottom line is that I've been on this site since two days after it opened, back in 2002. Jason and I are friends not only on this board, but in real life. He supports what I do and I appreciate him helping me get things off of the ground. I don't understand why you guys are so bothered by this. If you don't like it, don't read, it's as simple as that. There's no reason to even say anything else about it. Move along, the complaining is getting old.

The chances Darius Miller ends up at Illinois are ZERO. It'll be UK, Tennessee or Florida.

Computer help

RIP coach Hep, my prayers are with you, your friends, family and the entire IU family.

Joe Borchard returns
Classy guy and from what I understand, that's why the Marlins have kept him around. They've dumped several other OFs and have hung on to Borchard despite his sub .200 batting average. Apparently they like that he's a good guy in the clubhouse and a hard worker.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 07:22 PM) Some of you guys have seen him more than me (I've only seen him in person twice and on tape), but watching Eric Gordon reminds me A LOT of Dwyane Wade's game. Except Gordon is way further along in his development at age 17 or 18 than Wade was, but they play a similar game. Gordon's game is simply this: Back off him and he's one helluva shooter. Get right on him and he either blows past you or just muscles his way past. I can see him averaging 8-10 FT attempts per game next year.

Buehrle Wants a Five Year Contract
Get a deal done, I don't care what you have to offer.

Logan Johnson, Sox Draft pick
QUOTE(BearSox @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 04:39 PM) Don't blame the person for crowding the plate. If any pitchers now-a-days were smart, they knock him down everytime. And if you say he'll just let it hit him, well, he'd have to have some big stones to stand there and let a fastball hit him right in the chin. I can see both sides to the argument, but it's only really a problem if he doesn't stay inside the batter's box. If he wants to stand there and get hit, that's his prerogative.

And that's a white sox loser
QUOTE(3E8 @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 04:27 PM) In previous seasons, I would be completely devastated by each loss. Now I just don't care at all. Yeah, I have a hard time bringing myself to watch the games. This team just isn't any fun to watch. I'd say it's time to give up on this year and make any deals we can to get some young talent.

Logan Johnson, Sox Draft pick
QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 04:08 PM) The incident occurred on Sunday in a 1 run ballgame, a game Louisville had to win to stay alive. The Monday game was a different story. Johnson himself did nothing. As for Burton, what is the deal with his helmet? He has that extension over his jaw. Did he get hit once and it petrified him or what? Not sure if he got hit in the mouth or not, I'll have to ask him in a couple weeks.. I've known him since he was in 2nd grade or so and when I was a senior in HS, he was a freshman. We ran on the cross country team together and made it to the state finals for the first time in school history. I'd be surprised if someone didn't take a chance on him (he wasn't drafted) as he is a really good outfielder and he also plays a good 1B. If he hit for more power, I think he probably would have been drafted. Dominguez just hit another bomb, he's gonna be a stud.
