  1. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 17, 2009 -> 03:54 PM) Let's hope we only see Danks and Jenks. no Dotel?
  2. Quick couple of innings there. Danks has one more, maybe even two more innings in him.
  3. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 17, 2009 -> 01:55 PM) Obama's government has also not been transparent, at all. With the exception of releasing the torture memos. That really doesn't bother me. Did anyone really think he'd be any different in that area? In fact, I'd rather know less about what goes on behind closed doors, not more.
  4. I love how he isnt afraid of going the other way
  5. Great f***ing job to get out of that. That can't continue though. The offense is gonna have to put some more runs on the board.
  6. 3 up 3 down 2 Ks and just 12 pitches. Need more innings like that HA
  7. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 17, 2009 -> 03:01 PM) wonder if 3.0 has been JB yet ;| also wonder how they're going to do the live streaming video, free because the app isnt free? Probably free as in not any extra. Good start to the inning by Danks
  8. GIDPK I know Paulie having a good year, but as soon as JD walked the first thought that came to me was that Paulie was gonna GIDP
  9. Prancer works a walk...lets just hope he doesnt get picked off.
  10. Great job getting out of it. Nice for Beckham to have the next one hit to him so hopefully the error is out of his head now
  11. Danks not getting any help. Just limit the damage, if they score one so be it. Just don't let it evolve into a big inning
  12. Gotta get those runners in from 3rd w/ less than 2 outs. Hopefully that doesnt hurt us and we continue to get hits.
  13. QUOTE (BaseballNick @ Jun 17, 2009 -> 01:10 PM) I do believe the Sodfather and his crew installed a new drainage system at Wrigley just a couple years ago so it should be a lot better handling rain. That said, it rained pretty hard all night. They weren't going to get that one in yesterday.
  14. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jun 17, 2009 -> 01:42 PM) Mike Piazza is still clearly the best hitting catcher of all-time, but if Mauer can keep this up, he will be close. For 5 seasons from 1993-1997, here is Piazza's average year... .336 AVG, 34 HR, 105 RBI If you expand it to include his next 5 seasons of 1998-2002, the average drops, but nothing else. .308 AVG, 36 HR, 105 RBI Piazza from 1993-2002 of 10 seasons .322 AVG, 35 HR, 105 RBI Hard to beat that from the catching position. I knew he was a great, HoF player, but I never realized just how great he was.
  15. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jun 17, 2009 -> 12:29 PM) It is only May 15th for him. Didn't Berkman go into June last year. If Ichiro could not hit .400 nobody will. Mauer does not get the speed hit. But he does play in a place that is conducive to getting cheap hits. And Mauer is a farrrrr better hitter than Berkman. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jun 17, 2009 -> 12:34 PM) thanks for posting the BABIP, I was just going to look at that. Yeah, with it being .424, I'm in the no camp. Obviously he's a hell of a player and will continue to be for a long time, but I don't see .400, at least not this year People keeping justifying their "no" answers due to his BABIP being so high. Well, if you're gonna hit .400 wouldn't you think you're BABIP would be that high?
  16. I've never thought anyone could realistic hit .400 this late into a year before now. I don't think he'll do it, but if Vegas or Atlantic City had odd of him hitting .400 at 10-1 I'd probably throw $100 down on that.
  17. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 17, 2009 -> 11:36 AM) You do realize that this has been backed up by multiple legitimate sources, right? It doesn't matter.
  18. QUOTE (Nixon @ Jun 17, 2009 -> 10:03 AM) Is anyone else watching Iraq v Spain this morning? Iraq has lined up with 6 defenders. hahahahha. Well it seems to have worked if they were aiming to draw. David Villa scored in the 55th for Spain but that was it. Spain wins 1-0. I expected that score to be a lot more lopsided.
