You should have punched him in the face. Or at least shaved his goatee.

Minor League Boxes for Saturday
yan was rated as the best defensive 2B in all of the Carloina League by Baseball America, if that means anything to you.

Top 5 Prospects
He's a Jason Grimsley clone, nice sinker, good off-speed stuff. Walks too many people to be included in the Top 10 for pitchers. Averages 4.88 BB/9, that's pretty bad.

Draft question
i personally think you have the 1 and 2 backwards. moviel was rated much higher than veal. veal was drafted where he was suppose to plus or minus a round. however moviel was rated at a supp 1 rounder or second. Veal fell because he had a written committment to Arizona, and said he was very doubtful that he would sign. He turned down a 500,000 dollar bonus from the Yankees before the draft, so he fell. Veal was a 2nd to 3rd rounder.

Well, neither is Brian Cooper, considering he's almost on the wrong side of 30.

Season Minor League Report
Nanita may be heading off to Kanny, but I'm not 100% positive. Also, with the Lopez/Castro debate, I've gotta side with Castro. He's a lefty who can reach the mid to high 90's, or so I've heard.

Cotts for Tuesday in Anaheim??
Lets see, strikeouts mean nothing, walks mean a lot. I dotn care about strike outs. He needs to cut down on his walks before he can come to the majors. Its quite simple. Are you Brian West in disguise or something? Strikeouts are huge in gauging how good of a prospect a pitcher is. When you strike someone out, the pitcher reduces the risk for errors, hits, anything. If you strike someone out, less bad things will happen, in layman's terms.

a little update on olivo
Daubber caught games in the minors, and he's been our "emergency catcher" for the entire season. Look for Burke to start the game tonight, BTW.
