QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 09:10 PM) Kitten heels? I gotta stop reading this thread. I'm taller than you. Kitten heels, very flattering without being unprofessional and amazon like. Taller than me, huh? Maybe I should talk to you more often!

QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 09:07 PM) Sadly, the spelling had nothing to do with it. However, after seeing the picture I don't know if I like knowing what they are. As for what you said at the end there, my mind went right into the gutter after reading that. Therefore I think I'm out of the running to talk to you that often. Unless you like that sorta of thing. For some reason that makes me think of: Ooooooh, it'th a lady!
  3. QUOTE(mreye @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 08:52 PM) And there's something wrong with this? Um, I think it's safe to say that of all the country greats Johnny Cash is the only one for naked bar lip synching/dancing. Duh!!!!!

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 09:03 PM) Don't be a tease, zoom out on that Capri pic. Blame google images not me!

QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 08:55 PM) Oh no no... I'm talking stiletto eff me pumps. They look trashy. Some have even worn those lace up things that tie up the calf. Looks very tacky. I wear a heel with mine but not that high. More like the slide heels. They are an inch I guess (without going downstairs to measure them.. lol) Oh, that's not cool. I usually wear platform slides or kitten heels with mine. I'm 5'8" so high heels just make me look like a friggin' amazon--but kitten heels or pumps simply make me look imposing.

QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 08:52 PM) Peddle Pushers? I gotta get out more, or at the very least talk to you more Soxy, I don't know what in the heck that means. Maybe you would know them if I spelled it right. Pedal pushers as opposed to capris. And of course you should talk to me more. Who couldn't use a heaping spoonful of Soxy every day? No one.

QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) Well.. one of the things I have heard and seen is some females abusing what is actually a "capri". Some of them are wearing them at knee length which they consider shorts. Then there are those females who are 5 feet tall and 200lbs trying to fit into a size 2... Then there are some wearing 2" heels with them. It's crazy and ruining it for those of us that wear the tailored ones. That's stupid. As anyone with half an eye for fashion will tell your bosses--those are actually peddle pushers--not capris. Someone buy them a Vogue or something. Although, heels, imo, are a must with Capris--otherwise the calf can look a little bulky--even on a very slim woman.

I'm confused. 1.) What's wrong with Capris? They're pretty universally flattering and very modest 2.) Why does Wino have a pair?
  9. A lot is two words people. Two. A lot. Two separate words. TWO WORDS. A lot.

    Real World

QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 02:11 PM) Yikes.. poor girl is gonna be saggin to her knees if she keeps going without a bra. ^^^^^^ Not to mention some serious back pain....
  11. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 12:51 PM) Call it what you want to it's the truth. There are so many spineless bleeding-hearts out there who are sooooooo worried about some terrorist getting sleep deprivation treatment and don't care why we have a need for a Gitmo in the first place. These are REALLY bad people who want to kill us and would not hesitate to kill Americans indiscriminantely to make a point. These people we have down there are savages pure and simple. I'm so sick and tired of hearing people whine and cry about how these people are treated. Fine, I respect that opinion. But I think that right now is not the time to make snide comments about the other side. What happened in London was horrible and perpetrated by horrible people who are blinded by their own "righteousness". Those terrorists deserve to go on trial and be given justice. Of course they're REALLY bad people. So instead of focusing on them and what horrible things we want to do to them we should focus on the living--both the wounded and the loved ones of the dead. Dwelling on their horribleness and black souls isn't going to bring back the dead or bring peace to the living. If we as Americans spent less time hating the terrorists and people we disagree with we would be capable of so much more good in the world. I'm just sick of the "manufactured outrage" (to quote an earlier thread) when really some sincere compassion would be much more productive here.... Our own infighting and continued polarization proves that this country doesn't need terrorists to tear us apart--we're perfectly capable of ripping each other to shreads.
  12. Horrible. Horrible. Prayers to their families....
  13. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 12:15 PM) Not so sure about that being the hardest part of the job. The hardest part is making sure drugs don't get mixed up, that they know their patients, and that they know the interactions. I trust my pharmacist a bit more than my doctor on the medication aspects. Granted, he is my father-in law, but he has also given me better advice than the doctors ever could when it comes to the drugs I am taking. I have no problems whatsoever with what they make, or could make a year. Quite a bit of schooling and knowledge goes into being a pharmacist. It's true. My dad used to take my sister and I to see the pharmacist at Osco first to determine if we needed to see a real doctor or if something else would make us better.
  14. To borrow a phrase from Chirac from about 4 years ago: We're all British today.
  15. CNN reporting the tube might be open tomorrow already.
  16. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 11:26 AM) Fox News says 37 confirmed dead. CNN just raised their total too--but still not clear on if that's just underground deaths, or also the bus. Also, there is still no clue if they were suicide bombings or something else. It's amazing how calm the Londoners seem.
  17. Per CNN, The 33 dead do NOT include the victims on the bus--and the wounded are expected to increase to around 700. Horrible, just horrible. I (closes I've got to the Union Jack)...
  18. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 07:52 AM) So now that I've prayed for the families of the injured and dead, as well as the British people, can I hate the soulless islamo-fascists now? or do I have to listen to another "Christianity produced the crusades" lecture? Sure, but what good will that do, hating them? It just makes us more like them.
  19. I understand that, and how sad that the first impulse is to attack or make a snide comment towards people we disagree with than to consider the lives that are lost, or the children left without a parent, or parent who now has to plan her child's funeral. Sad that sometimes we're more concerned with being right than doing what's right.
  20. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 05:51 AM) I hope they don't catch these poor terrorists and send them to Gitmo. That was kind of classless. Prayers for the people injured and families of the killed.
  21. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 09:15 PM) What about when your boogers freeze?? When your eyelashes freeze together that's worse, imo.
  22. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 02:40 PM) So we're not getting together this summer? That's OK, I'm not going north of the Mason-Dixon in winter. Winter never hurts this badly.
  23. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 08:57 PM) The plan is to have it done by the 25th of July. Then we can spend a few days talking about it and move on to the August book that Cheat suggested. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 08:58 PM) I was thinking maybe 2 weeks to allow everyone who's busy enough time to get through it. Maybe after one gets done and we all talk about it for a day or so then another member of the club gets a pick. How does that sound? That is sooooooooooooo cute, practically finishing each other's sentences.
  24. I'll pick it up tomorrow. So, exactly what's the plan, do we have a timeline? How are we going to do this?
