GAME THREAD 5-16-06 SOX vs RAYS
Whitewashed in '05 replied to NUKE_CLEVELAND's topic in 2006 Season in Review
QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 16, 2006 -> 08:11 PM) This is Boone's Paniagua moment. You know, the moment when you completely suck ass and then vanish from the White Sox roster. What about the finger? -
GAME THREAD 5-16-06 SOX vs RAYS

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ May 16, 2006 -> 07:55 PM) I think the Tigers are for real. I kept saying they'd slow down but I'm not so sure anymore. Last season at this time I wasn't convinced about our sox and this season I am sure as hell not gonna be convinced about the Tigers. -
To Ipod or not to Ipod that is the question...

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ May 16, 2006 -> 01:14 PM) Not true. My buddy just bought a 60GB, and his plays everything from anywhere. Thanks! -

Is it true that the new video iPods only play music downloaded from iTunes? I don't think so, but just trying to make sure from anyone who knows. -
QUOTE(TLAK @ May 15, 2006 -> 07:06 PM) Farmeo called it an inning ending triple play. Any one else notice the improvement in Farmer (Singleton too) the last couple weeks? Some like his style and some don't but in terms of accuracy and calling every pitch he's been right up there with the Gold Standard, John Rooney. This is no bull, I keep score cards with the TV on and, after a horrible start to the season, he's been great. They still stumble over each others words a little too much, but they are okay. The PBP isn't too bad. Rooney's calls are what I miss the most though, neither of them can replace them.

I really have no doubts about Cotts. It's Politte I am worried about. It's gonna take more than a few strong outings to get me convinced he can still get it done because last year's 2 ERA was very well below his career era...

QUOTE(SnB @ May 15, 2006 -> 01:46 PM) tuna? wtf is wrong with you. I had some portillo's for lunch, it was crede-like. Lol I have a funny story about Portillo's. The other day I went and ordered a cheeseburger...good thing I ate there because I would've been eating a veggie burger if I took it to go. I got a cheeseburger without a meat pattie. -

QUOTE(shaneomacfan @ May 15, 2006 -> 01:46 PM) Seriously, I was so happy to see Blum get a hit off that asshat Howry in the 9th yesterday. With our series against them coming up he'll probably start talking more s***, I just hope we have several opportunities to shut him up. His team will quiet him as the season goes on... -
Six hundred and something useless posts. I don't ever say anything about anyone, but you gotta give this up. You are seriously annoying with your obsession with the cubs. Please I speak for everyone here, stop it.

White Sox Coach Gets Nothing but Results
Whitewashed in '05 replied to rventura23's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Well the respect he showed and said he had for the organization during the postseason last year was a good way to look at things. I really don't think we'll have problems keeping him here. He's a really good guy and one of the best pitching coaches around. Coops going no where and KW knows he's what's making the moves he makes look good. Don Cooper -

What exactly happened with Buehrle's error? Did he throw it too low and Uribe missed it or what? -

I know the model I have (4th gen 20 gig) has been the problem ipod. If you look on ebay more than 75% of the broken ipods being sold are ones like mine. Does anyone know of any problems with the ipod mini's? -
2006 MLB Catch-All Thread

I was flipping through the channels and saw Maddux being interviewed and I thought I caught him saying something about "we lost 10-5 at least it wasn't 10-1" anyone else see it? I am pretty sure he said that cause he gave a little laugh after that. How many games are they under .500 again? -
He won't end up with numbers like last year because of his terrible start, but he can certainly pitch good. I will not give up on him yet.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 12, 2006 -> 08:44 PM) In this game or lately? Hell no not this game, lately.

Our offense has been doing pretty good, but Santana just owns us.
-
QUOTE(Felix @ May 12, 2006 -> 08:27 PM) No, actually I expected him to regress this year. I did too, but you're throwing him under the bus after a bad first month.
-
QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 12, 2006 -> 08:25 PM) No, because he has yet to pitch against a very good team, expect the Blue Jays (if he pitched against them). He's getting raped by below average to average teams. What does that matter? When you just don't have it anyone's going to rock you.
-
QUOTE(Felix @ May 12, 2006 -> 08:20 PM) How long are people going to say this? This is his 8th start, and he's faced offensive powerhouses like Kansas City (3 times), Seattle (1), LAAA (1), and Minnesota (1) while boasting a lovely 6.54 ERA. I guess you expected him to shut everyone down out of the gate like all of our pitchers did last season right?
