Payroll question
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 25, 2011 -> 10:52 AM) If Rios was making $3 million instead, then he'd still be a member of the Toronto Blue Jays. The only reason they put him on waivers and let the Sox claim him was because his salary was so high. For a team that drafts so damn well, they make some very curious personnel decisions. The Wells and Rios contracts were albatrosses.

The return of TCQ
When he is on, he can single handedly carry a lineup.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 25, 2011 -> 09:05 AM) I hope the new salary cap destroys that team. I don't think it will kill 'em as bad as people think. They will still have James/Wade as the core, it will be Bosh who likely goes. They still will be deadly.

QUOTE (daa84 @ May 24, 2011 -> 10:47 PM) hes got more talent than every single one of those guys you mentioned no doubt in my mind. Like i said, so much of it remains untapped. Each one of those guys you mentioned were still the better player IMO James, IMO, is the most talented player in NBA history. He has Magic versatility. Unparalleled strength, AI speed, Pippen-type defense (when he wants to), Kemp's ability to finish. What he doesn't have is the intangibles and clutchness of Jordan and that makes him not as good as he could be. And what's with not being able to criticize Rose? He has been dreadful every game since Game One. I understand he is young, but you can still criticize the guy. Believe me, I love D-Rose, am incredibly glad to have him and know he will be better next year, but come on, he can be criticized just as Boozer has, Noah has, etc. All in all, I didn't think we would beat the Heat, so I am not overly mad about this. I only get super mad when it's about the White Sox or when I have expectations that my team should win.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 24, 2011 -> 10:23 PM) Too bad korver decided to take the playoffs off. A true 3 threat would be nice one. I am still befuddled as to what happened to Rasual Butler. He is a pretty solid player and could replace Korver, but Thibs is stubborn.

And 2nite is showcasing why LeBron is the best player in the NBA by far. Not only can he score almost at will, but when he wants to, he can shut anyone down defensively.

These 12 minutes will determine the NBA champion. Heat win, they win series and easily beat Mavs. Bulls win, they go home 2-2 and have the advantage and beat Mavs.

I don't want to see Kyle Korver at all the rest of the game. It should be Ronnie Brewer after Bogans for the rest of the game. When Korver isn't hitting jumpers, he is useless.

Payroll question
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 24, 2011 -> 07:34 PM) Because every buck wasted on a bad player is one buck not being spent on good players. Bingo. Teams only have a finite amount of money to spend on a roster and if $30 million dollars are being paid to two players who can't hit at all this year, it becomes incredibly burdensome.
