  1. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 1, 2009 -> 08:48 AM) what I don't like is, the possibility of more of those "Postponed indefinitely unless the game matters" games, ala game 162 last year We did good with that last year, haha. I know what you mean though. Looking at the schedule, a double-header would probably be scheduled for either Sept. 8 or 9 when we play Oakland at the Cell again.
  2. Ugh. The last thing we need right now are more double headers. They screw everything up so much with your rotation and bullpen. Plus, sweeping them is very difficult.
  3. Please let Bobby have a breaking ball. I love the high 90s gas, but he needs that curve to keep hitters off balance.
  4. Need a big two outs here Matt. Greinke has to be done unless the Royals want their star to get injured, so runs should be easier to come by, especially against KC's sucky pen.
  5. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ May 31, 2009 -> 02:20 PM) Is there a decent CF anywhere in baseball we can trade, sign, bring up?? BA is a good 4th outfielder, Wise is garbagio Juan Pierre on July 3rd. But, now, the price will be steep.
  6. hell of an at-bat for Josh. He's not great, but he is making better adjustments at the plate. Now, hold them there Danks. Carrasco better be ready for 2-3 innings today.
  7. How did he lose the ball with sunglasses the size of his head on? Geez. A one-run deficit can be cracked by accident, but two is so much tougher.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ May 31, 2009 -> 01:43 PM) Danks is freaking terrible. Cooper has his work cut out for him, as he's developing some awful tendencies on the mound again. I also hate how shallow Wise plays in CF. It was a tough bind today for CF. Anderson was going to 0-4 against Greinke, but play good D while Wise could scratch out a hit, but also have an adventure in CF. When will Jordan Danks be ready?
  9. Danks looking like s***. Wow. He blows right now.
  10. Martin Havlat's recent Twitter post: "Meeting with Dale Tallon for dinner tonight, leaving to Prague tomorrow. FYI, I am NOT putting my condo up for sale (if you get my drift!)." Sounds like a deal should be consummated quickly.
  11. Man up Danks and look like last year. Geez.
  12. QUOTE (TLAK @ May 31, 2009 -> 09:01 AM) Think we'll see our new catcher? Day game after a night game and its Sunday. Welcome to the American league Mr. Castro, meet Mr. Greinke. I hope not. AJ is one of the only guys on our team that hits Greinke well. AJ can suck it up.
  13. Greinke is due for a mediocre outing, right? I'll take 6 innings, 3 ER. I like Danks against KC. Should be a good pitcher's duel.
  14. Nice inning Mark, let's get a rally started Sexy.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ May 30, 2009 -> 07:20 PM) At least Fields made it so Alexei will leadoff in the 6th. But will he learn that Meche is going to throw him a breaking ball first pitch in the dirt?
  16. Pods bat flip was a thing of beauty, too bad his swing isn't.
  17. No way Josh scores. Pods can't knock him in unless it's a cheap single.
  18. Nice play by Josh. That hop could have eaten him, but he played it well. DP.
  19. Big inning for Buehrle. Gotta shut them down, the offense looks like it's going to scratch 3-4 runs tonight, but Mark needs to keep them to 2.
  20. Bad read by Maier. Sun might have got him. JD with a triple.
