  1. Could that have been a worse onside kick? Gould is the leastr of our problems though.
  2. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 02:59 PM) True. I just think Cincy is going to offer him nutty money. They have too much money tied up to Chad Ocho Cinco and Carson, so I doubt they try to resign him. They need to build a defense.
  3. Why didn't they do that play against Minny way back when?
  4. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 02:53 PM) People say- "I don't want to trade for Boldin because it'll cost us a 1st rounder and a 3rd rounder". So what? What will we do with that 1st rounder? I say we make that trade, then go with an OG (in the 2nd), then an OT (in the 3rd with the compensation we'll get for Berrian), then a FS (in the 4th). I would make the trade, so many very good players are drafted later. I would defintely give up a 1st and 3rd for Boldin. He would probably make Hester a really good WR, Olsen a top TE and Forte even better. A guy that good opens up an offense because you have to game plan against him, something we don't currently have. Would Boldin want to play in Chicago though is the question because you would likely work out an extension for him as part of his accepting the trade.
  5. Brees is close to breaking Marino's record. And he might get one more possession.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 02:49 PM) It was interesting, as Vasher was ripping on Orton for doing this too much on Comcast yesterday. You usually don't hear criticism like that from your teammate. Vasher should reallly not be criticizing based on his performance this year and last.
  7. QUOTE (shipps @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 02:49 PM) The Bears have been a really hard team to cheer for this year. I could give a s*** about them loosing today they arent a good football team, they have overachieved at 9 wins. I would argue the opposite that they are right where they should be. Had some games go their way the past two weeks, but also some they should've won against the NFC South teams.
  8. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 02:46 PM) Get to work Jerry Angelo... we could use a starting S, defensive end, OLman and #1 WR .
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 02:43 PM) There's no way he'll survive this offseason (I mean that with the organization, not with his personal well-being). Marinelli would be a perfect replacement. Knows the division and is a great defensive coach, especially on the D-Line.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) This has to be one of the most frustrating Bears years I can remember. So many games that were blown that should have been victories, and now just a terrible week 17 of the season. Especially considering that everything is going the Bears way in the other games. Babich is so horrible it's amazing. This D has gone from top 5 in the league to bottom 10 with the same personnel, but different coach.
  11. The entire demise of the Bears season is defense related. While the offense isn't great, it hasn't lost as many games as the defense. Ogunleye and Vasher can go with their huge overpayed contracts.
  12. Praying for not enough evidence somehow...
  13. He was down, unfortunately.
  14. Go Vikings! If we are going to lose, I'd rather them winning to have a less sickening feeling in my stomach.
  15. Bears D continues top piss down their leg. Babich you can go. And please hire Marinelli.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 28, 2008 -> 02:28 PM) Orton just isn't good, I don't understand why people don't realize this. Well that is a bit of an overstatement. He is a solid QB, but has limitations. Is he a Pro Bowl QB? No. But can he start in this league? Yes.
  17. Orton is really bad at throwing the deep ball.
  18. How can you not challenge the spot of the ball in that situation? What a stupid rule and horribles spot.
  19. This would be the ultimate worst-case scenario for me. Bears lose and Vikings lose. That would suck major. If we lose, I would rather everyone else win.
  20. Wow. The Bears might want to cover somebody. Owen Daniels beats them deep?
  21. Wow. David Carr! Now Bears just gotta score. Please don't f*** up this golden opportunity. And keep going Giants.
  22. Per usual, horrible pass defense and horrible pass rush. They go hand in hand.
