  1. For a little guy who has speed, he sure sucked at bunting when it counted. Couldn't ever put a sac bunt down and still wasn't the greatest to bunt for a hit.
  2. Meaux was gonna be a career minor leaguer in this organization anyways. At least Blum is a proven major leaguer who has shown the ability to hit with Houston and can backup Crede at third, unlike Ozuna who get me nervous every time he fields a ball.
  3. I don't believe anything anyone says: Levine, Ofman or Gammons. Kenny will do what he thinks is necessary and if that means McCarthy, then we'll see him later.
  4. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 10:24 AM) There's no option for next year for Huff; I thought it was an option, but I guess not. Thanks for clearing that up.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 10:16 AM) Just saw where the Score is reporting it's Huff or bust right now, with McCarthy not being involved in the deal. There's not a chance in hell we get Huff without giving up BMac. I don't think that's true. Although Lamar is a moron asking the moon. Everyone knows he won't pick up the option on Huff next year. They need younger players and getting rid of Huff brings in young players and saves $7.5 million. I could see a deal around Anderson and Gio. Both would go if we got both Huff and Baez, only one would go if we got Huff probably adding a Valido or something.
  6. I am prepared for dissapointment. I believe the Sox will do nothing major, thus can't be dissapointment if we stand pat. But, if we do something I am happy. I can't lose today, unless of course the sox lose.
  7. If the Sox could get him, he would most likely not come back unless we exercised the $6 million option. He would see our closer situation in that we have many options. but, then again, with his arm troubles, he could stay for his player option.
  8. Superstar mode looks really cool.
  9. Off the bat, that scared the s*** out of me.
  10. If we win this game it's great in two ways: Kenny knows Count can't be trusted, so maybe he'll try harder to get Burnett and we won despite Contreras sucking ass.
  11. Uribe is awesome at D, luckily.
  12. why does Juan swing at the first pitch. My god, every time.
  13. QUOTE(whitesox89 @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) since most of us are in here. I was jw if anyone heard George Offman was on the Score a little bit ago and said the White Sox are still going after Huff but also are now calling Pittsburg about Robb Mackoviak (sp?) Doesn't suprise me, Mackoviak is a local guy. However, he started out really hot and has cooled off, I pass. Huff or no hitter.
  14. Crede takes Cabrera out of the game. When you look at Crede, he has been about what we could ask of him. .250-.260 average, he get about 20 homers and 70 rbi's, with of course gold glove D.
  15. With Cabrera on the bump it might be one of those days where we only score 1 run. Then again, Cabrera could get really wild and we put up a 4 spot.
  16. I found it today and tried it with ESPN Insider and all the logins it gave me didn't work (I obviously am too cheap to pay for Insider.) So, has anyone ever tried and it actually worked? With insider? Or anything else?
  17. 1-0, Sox an Uribe Sac Fly.
  18. 1st and 3rd, 1 out on a hit and run by Crede and Widger. Textbook.
  19. Could we please score, even though Hernandez is pretty good, we should have a run or two by now. Don't waste a great outing by the new favorite for the Cy Young.
  20. We should worry about resigning and salary stuff after the season.
  21. This is a little league play, soft ground ball turns into a homerun.
  22. Uribe throws the ball away. Nice play s*** face. Where is Omar?
  23. 2-1 Royals. That's what you get when Ozzie puts the s*** line-up to face s*** in Lima.
  24. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Jul 26, 2005 -> 07:32 PM) when is the first pitch? now
  25. They probably feel Lima sucks and they can score against him with anybody and Buerhle will shut them down. That way tomorrow verssu Runyveals (sp?) Hernandez on the bump on a day game, they may need Gooch, Crede and Aaron.
