  1. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 08:57 PM) ...and you Bear fans will be paying for it alllllllllllllllllllllllllll season long. Starting a rookie quarterback in the National Football League is grounds for absolute ridicule and criticism. I said it was the wrong move then, and if the Bears win 10 games this season, I will still say it was thw wrong move. I was completely disappointed with that decision. Now, back to your regularly scheduled program. Now you must eat your hat. EDIT: I like your threads TLAK. You pull out some really interesting stats, that no one else picks up on from the board or the media. Keep up the good work.
  2. Tom Jackson is blowing this out of proportion with what he said though. He made it sound like Pistons-Pacers II just went down.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 06:49 PM) I have a feeling the Angels have their eyes on Mr. Bonds. Angels are on record that they don't want him, according to Bill Plaschke of the LA Times.
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 01:06 AM) No offense rangercal, but that's probably the same 75 pct that never wanted to see Ordonez leave. Sometimes, a team needs to get a clean break from a player. Frank has been a terrific player for the White Sox, but we need a DH next season that we can count on to likely be healthy the whole season. And please no Carl Everett! Everyone knows where I stand with Frank, and I was ready to let Maggs go with no questions with all the back and forth he was involved in this and last year with the Sox. So there goes that theory. :rolly
  5. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 10:55 PM) Well heres my thoughts of each game. Indy vs Ravens Well after the first half I was thinking that maybe Manning was going to have a down year. He looked bad and missed a completely wide open Marvin Harrison. In the 2nd half he looked back to his old self and Colts showed why they are super bowl contenders. As for the Ravens... I think Kyle Orton already looks better than Kyle Boller. You have to give some dap to Baltimore's D. Indy's not going to see anymore defense's the rest of the season that can hold a candle to Baltimores w/ maybe NE being the exception.
  6. 3-0 Colts at the half in Baltimore. It's been a pretty solid game for such a low scoring first half. The defense has been bringing it on both sides.
  7. I'm still here. It's hard for me to really take a side anymore. I've been unable to watch the Sox since I came back to school except for nationally televised and WGN games. It's kind of hurt my interest. I'm still following them pretty religiously on here and elsewhere, but a win or loss doesn't make me happy or piss me off as much right now. I think that'll change, if we get in the playoffs and I can watch the games again.
  8. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 05:45 PM) According to the BRRUUUUUCEEE LEVINE Marte showed up late for the game and Ozzie told him to take the day off. Not quite fired. But after this year HE GONE. Edited the title to the updated status of this rumor.
  9. Glad to see the Saints got a big win on the road to a very good Carolina team. The Saints are definitely going to be America's team this season.
  10. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) Why wait? Wouldn't you rather whine now and get everybody's attention? Awesome avatar man.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 04:35 PM) Wow, that would be something. I've been saying this for a month now, but we're seeing a full organizational collapse. You've been able to not believe the hype on the White Sox all season, but you belive this w/out any official word? I'm not going to believe this until I see an official mention of such.
  12. Shaq's such a cool guy. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2157772
  13. QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 03:46 PM) Rex Grossman will be the starting quarterback to close this year out.... winning all 4 of his starts, giving the bears a 4-12 record. he will go into 2006 camp as the starter... make it to the third preseason game and slip on a bananna peel injuring him for the rest of the year
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 03:44 PM) Don't forget that Iguchi struggles for a few days after he gets a day off. That's because he doesn't care that his team is losing, right?
  15. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 03:42 PM) But Iguchi needed a day off. Apparently Japanese players tire easily and don't care if there team if loosing.
  16. Simple sig bet for the Indiana-Illinois football game on 10/8 b/w me and SNB.
