  1. QUOTE(rangercal @ Sep 2, 2005 -> 12:04 PM) I do not disagree. I'm just tired of everyone Saying you can't win without O. I guess you can win without D huh? Not really. If the ultimate goal for any franchise was just to get to the AFC championship game every year , then I guess you don need a decent D. I'm pretty sure Indy's not satisfied with just going to the AFC Championship every year. If you haven't noticed, Indy's done plenty this offseason to improve their defense.
  2. QUOTE(rangercal @ Sep 2, 2005 -> 11:59 AM) are you talking about Chicagos offense last year with quin and a depleted line? Terrell as the go to guy? Jones getting plays to run up the middle 3 and out? Bears improvements >>>>>> INDYS improvements I don't necessarily agree with that, but still... 2005-2006 season: Indy >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Chicago
  3. I don't know if NE will have a dropoff or not with some of the losses they've had. However, Indy's season basically = November 7th. Indy's @ NE for the MNF game. I see that game's winner getting home field in the AFC. If Indy can get home field, I think they can get into the Super Bowl with no problems.
  4. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 06:53 PM) they'll prolly keep them in the east so rules out vegas... The Hornets are a Western Conference team though. Vegas makes sense, especially since there's going to be an ASG there.
  5. This from Reifert's blog. I hope this supplies a little perspective, but I doubt it will.... http://whitesoxpride.mlblogs.com/inside_th...me_thursda.html

  7. Also...Frank was officially moved to the 60-day DL... http://whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/pr...t=.jsp&c_id=cws
  8. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 01:05 PM) I don't see Mariotti as being a bandwagon jumper right now. I see him now as reporting the truth about what is happening to this team. He may be wrong about moves to have been made, but you can't deny a slide that has been happening since the All-Star break. Heck, right before the break we got our asses kicked. He's a bandwagon jumper. No way around it. He slurps Chicago teams when they're winning, and when things aren't going so well, he writes an article similar to today's.
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 10:45 PM) Like I said yesterday, the best thing about this site is that it's soxtalk.com, and not soxcheerleading.com.
  10. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 10:28 PM) Us Colts guys need to stick together. What's the latest on Stokely? Last thing I read, said he'd only miss 1 reg season game IIRC. I couldn't find the article, so don't hold me to that though.
  11. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 10:25 PM) LETS GO GO WHITE SOX...WERE WITH YOU ALL THE WAY. KEEP THIS GOING ALL THRU THE MONTH white sox! white sox! go go white sox! let's go go go white sox! we're with you all the way! you're always in there fighting, and you do your best! we're glad to have you out here in the middle west! we're going to root root root root white sox and cheer you on to victory! when we're in the stands, we'll make those rafters ring! all through the season, you will hear us sing, "let's go go go white sox! chicago's proud of you!
  12. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 10:20 PM) Bears fans remind me of Cubs fans, only less annoying. Everyone was saying if no one got hurt this would be the Bears year. Now, even without Grossman, the Bears can win the division? Or even win 10 games? That's what I find funny about the Orton situation. I didn't know many people that liked Orton after Purdue's season last year. My friends at Purdue were ready to see him go after his choking of the second half of last year. Now Orton is the next Jim McMahon....of course w/out the sunglasses. B)
  13. Pinned. But if we really want to start the month off right, you might want to move that smiley...
  14. Good stuff. It's time to enjoy this again. There's no reason we shouldn't be enjoying this season.
  15. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) Can I ask how you brought about KG into this thread? KG was lobbying hardcore for Finley to Minnesota.
  16. I'm soooo happy I filled up yesterday at $2.69...So happy.
  17. We all knew August was going to be tough. It's over. September looks kind of cake to me. Hopefully that instills some confidence back into the pitching and offense for the postseason.
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 04:34 PM) Sadly... likely true. I don't doubt you or your sources at all. I just don't see why this is in every Chicago media right now. I understand the papers run with these types of things, but the first place I saw it was Chisox.com. I don't understand why they're posting this, if that's the case.
  19. I got a feeling it's not his birthday. Just a hunch.
  20. QUOTE(Pauly8509CWS @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) I'm pretty sure you did suggest the stereotypes.. Alright, I guess he did typecast too. lol.
  21. QUOTE(bmags @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 03:42 PM) i dont' think you're being typecasted...when i say dave matthews plays to a frat boy/HS girl crowd, he does... i don't seem to mind when someone says that a band plays to girls when i see when i'm at their show i'm one of 15 guys there... I guess it wasn't you that did it, but it's posts like the one below, that get under my skin. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Aug 29, 2005 -> 06:10 PM) Daveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, man, f***ing, Daveeeeeeeeeee. Now, all you have to do is light up a spliff, put on some aviator sunglasses, throw on some birkenstocks and you can look like every other frat-boy in America. :puke :puke :puke
