  1. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 03:12 PM) There were rumors???? Nope...Just someone's got an infatuation with the person of this yellow journalism rumor.
  2. QUOTE(IndplsSoxFan @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 03:48 PM) It was the 3rd game of the season and it's April. Hopefully Ozzie & Shingo learned from this. It's time for them to focus on the Twins. I'm not too worried. Agreed, and welcome to the board. Good to have another Hoosier state residence on SoxTalk!
  3. People would understand that if they just went to this page occaisonally.... http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...ce.jsp?c_id=cws
  4. http://whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/ar...t=.jsp&c_id=cws Good as place as any....An article about AJP's return to Minny tonight... F. Dubs ....
  5. QUOTE(El Piervizdyeguchansodnik @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 10:05 AM) Isn't Shingo like 19 of 21 in save attempts?? EVeryone has a bad game. Shingo was hanging his pitches. It happens. He'll get over it. How quickly we forget when he sat down the Indians 1-2-3 a mere 3 games ago. :headshake 22/24 overall.
  6. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 09:40 AM) What's the name of that "bloop" pitch El Duque throws? The "Eephus."
  7. I've been in the chat here and there. I see the chat really picking up speed during the summer and during night games.

  9. That's all you Tex. I equate that to saying a world with nothing but candy or mosquitos would be boring at best. I am thankful for both of them.
  10. Pretty early for this, but Joe Lunardi has already tried to project the field for next March. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bracketology He has 7 Big Ten teams in the dance... IU MSU Illinois OSU Wiscy Minny Iowa
  11. Schilling had a similar outing in Indianapolis today against the AAA Indians. Not a great day for rehab starts.
  12. I don't understand how Viz can shoulder any of the blame. Yes, he gave up the winning runs, but he should never be out there that long. Ozzie messed up by hooking the relievers that do have the ablilty to go longer, way earlier than he ever should.
  13. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 06:07 PM) I'll just buy you tickets then... Where should I send them?
  14. Put each other on ignore. Good god. This is getting ridiculous. :headshake
  15. QUOTE(striker62704 @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 04:58 PM) 3 run leads in the ninth are the games you must win. Only losers accept losing. If that's the case...we should have lost yesterday. It happens.
  16. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 04:43 PM) Well... I'll take 2 of 3 and a series win all year long. I don't like it.. but I'll take it. Exactly. I was saying yesterday, I don't want to see Sox fans jumping off bridges if we lose today. If we win series after series; we'll be in excellent shape.
  17. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 03:53 PM) Rowand has shown continued success hitting. Crede hasn't. And Ozuna is god b/c he had one good spring training.
  18. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 03:48 PM) "Bottom 8TH B:2 S:1 O:3 Joe Crede grounds into a force out, third baseman Aaron Boone to second baseman Ronnie Belliard. Aaron Rowand out at 2nd." Warm up the Ozuna for 3rd baseman bandwagon. :headshake Geez.....Crede's BA is higher than Rowand's BA if you're going to hop on Crede's nuts already. Maybe Ozuna should go to CF. It's the 3rd game. Simmer down nah.
  19. 3 outs! Sox get out of it! 5-2 going to the bottom half of the 7th.
  20. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 03:17 PM) Agreed x 2. What were you WTF'n about then?
  21. Contreras works out of it. I hope he's done for the day, he's had a very solid outing.
  22. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 01:50 PM) Eeep. How this team keeps winning is beyond me. If Skiles isn't coach of the year, Frank Thomas is a skinny 98 pound white boy. Hate to turn this into an NBA talk...but Rick Carlisle requires a look. How many of you had the Pacers going to the playoffs still? We've never even played w/ our projected starting lineup of of Tinsley, Miller, Artest, Foster and O'Neal this season. I think it's damn impressive.
