yea, he already improved from last season during spring training on strikeouts and i thought his swing was a lot shorter, in the few games i saw.

i havent seen it yet. to bad maggs doesnt get the attention he deserves he is much better than PK where is maggs comerical. I would doubt that Maggs has an interest in doing TV ads in English. He just doesn't seem comfortable in social situations in English. Plus he doesn't seem like he wants the extra attention that comes from being a celebrity. cant blame him one bit for that. im sure his english is fine though.

I know that knucklecurve of his the scouts just love. Sounds like he is on track for a possible Sept 2k4 call up, but realisitcally we are looking at 2005 or 2006 before we see him in Chicago. how old is he 20 or 21???

that is great news i would not mind seeing him has head coach atall. in fact i would be so excited to accually have a good coach. that doesnt look blazed in the dugout, and give you the stupid look when he needs to call for plays.

Spiff, I found much in tao that relates to, adds to, enhances Judeo/Christian thought - in that they are middle eastern religions in origin may somehow show some connections - but I see taoism as not antithetical to Scriptural faith what a wonderful consort - whatever you would wanmt to say about tao I would love to read - and I am not alone in interest in taoism; there are entire Christian meditative communties that operate in taoist principles and insights I have operated my faith wioth some reliance on the tao since the late 60s when I first encountered it in Frances Fitzgerald's Fire on the Lake. And as far as zen might so - again, many places of congreunce where I would ove to learn more. for natural diasters - earthquakes, forest fires, all those things have their replace as the natural consequence of the nature of the planet - they are destructive only when humans inhabit those places where these things happen. But they are part of the renewal and reshaping of the earth and just a part of natural process, which as in physical life, means changes and ultimaye destinations of death. Without earthquakes, with volcanoes, the world as we know know wouldn't be - without an ice age what the earth would be like is unimanigable - our lakes, rivers, moutains, all because if such natural things. What is scary is people f***ing up the world by havoc on the ecology- global warming may drastically alter the world of our children and grandchildren. A raise of a few degrees of temperature can wipe out the gread basket in the US and ctreate major problems with fod production, and these effects may be felts as soon as 2050. My grandson will be 55 then and he and his family will suffer from our refusal to take seriosuly rthe destruction of the ozone. And when this happens, as always, the problem causers will be: people. if what i read is correct over the last 100 years the earth's average tempature has gone up less than 2 degrees....in that time the earth's populatiion has what , more than doubled???..i find less than 2 degrees increase amazingly stable...just out of randomness i would the difference either way would be more than that...just one really cold winter or one really hot summer world wide could skew the average a degree or two... i dont know , so many people to me have such a doom and gloom outlook for the future..i find this an amazingly wonderful time to be on this earth....look at the difference in advances the world has made from 1800 - 1900 as opposed to 1900 -2000...its incredible to me how much we have advanced in those 100 years..figure the good lord willing i got 40-50 years left...i look forward to what lies ahead... i agree with you bags this.

others cant help frank he has a different swing than most hitters. Plus with big frank he has a hard time getting along with people that try to change him completly. and not play his own style of baseball.

i hate them too if i had it my way baseball would be 364/365 days a year being played(they make enough money to) with getting x-mass off.

yea our teams stregth throughout the whole organization is pitching now, they got smart finially and realized you cant hit your way to the world series using the homer alone.

RDW, this has nothing to do with calling out HSC, I would just like to say I picked Rocky in my fantasy draft a couple of weeks ago. I am so happy that I did now as Rocky recorded his third save!! Tell him to keep up the good work!! CWSOX45 biddle is the only one i will miss out of that trade.

that is the only thing im scared of im not scared of anything that happens in life, i know i will be just fine because i can take care of myself. trust me, what happens, whatever happens, when this life is over, is going to be a damn site better than this - even if it is nothingness at least the f***ing up and paid will be over - and if it is in some eternal place of being with in relationship with God - all good. Hell does not exist. Not Biblical, not theological, just a scare tactic to make people believe. The promise is that the life to come will be good. That is what I rely on. thats alot of faith you have there.
