  1. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 09:24 AM) Ya see Nuke .. that's exactly the s*** I was talking about. They won't take on a perceived racist organization, yet they will defend the KKK. Talk about spinning things your own way. Special interest groups dont get my money and I don't often pay much attention to what they have to say. I much prefer to formulate my own viewpoint and if one of those groups happens to share it then so much the better. Back to my favorite interest group though.....I'm all over it. Any time this organization does something like this and I find out about it its going up in lights here. It really burns my ass that a bunch of hypocrites like these get virtual sainthood from the left when they such utter failures at practicing what they preach.
  2. QUOTE(winodj @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 07:40 AM) Absolutely, they should have the right to do what they want. But if they discriminate, they shouldn't be allowed any benefit from the government. I'm just sick of manufactured outrage. This isin't an outrage. Its funny as hell to me. I laughed like all hell when I saw this because it just goes to prove what I've been saying all along. This organization preaches tolerance and diversity and freedom of speech yet they can't stand it when one of their own has a divergent viewpoint and they start hanging these people out to dry. PATHETIC! Now look deeper into this. The reasoning the New Mexico state chapter of the ACLU gave for shutting this chapter down was that they didn't want to be associated with what they percieve to be a "racist" organization. Riddle me this. Is the KKK not a racist organization also? The ACLU has spent a lot of time and money protecting their rights and they are 20 times worse than the Minutemen could hope to be. Thats TWICE they're hypocrites on this same issue.
  3. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 01:03 AM) Funny how you didn't discuss the fact that the whole "We're winning. We've won" rhetoric is BS as the piece said. As Cheney said: they're in their last throes...but Rummy said, at least 12 more years. And the radio propagandists are still part of the government pony show to justify this war -- sort of like Pravda. It was "independent" but everybody knew it was just spewing what the state wanted them to say. What does that have to do with the main point of this thread? That was discussed at length elsewhere. For the record I think what Cheney said was right up there on the stupid scale with "Bring em on". But again, that's another subject entirely. I think it's really cool that they are doing this and hopefully they can provide a welcome break from the blood and carnage that the mainstream media is so fixated on.
  4. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 12:58 AM) How quickly people forget the assistance that the French gave us in establishing this nation in the first place. I heart mindless nationalism! Like Einstein said, nationalism is an infantile disease -- it is the measles of mankind. Yeah and even more amazing how the French forgot that they would be speaking German twice over if not for us.
  5. I needed read no further than this paragraph to know this guy is full of s***. One of the members of this little consortium was on O'reilly talking about it and each and every one of them is paying for this trip and its expenses out of their own pockets or their respective radio stations are helping to sponsor them. OUT OF THEIR OWN POCKETS
  6. Contreras takes the bump for the good guys so hang on to your seats. Lets go out there and RIP EM!!!!!!
  7. QUOTE(Ozzie Montana @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 09:34 PM) 6-0 for Pollitte. And come to think he had no wins last year. I guess last year was his off year Maybe Politte can win 20 this year too. Yeah, that was totally off the wall wasn't it? Oh well.
  8. .............and many more!!!!!!!!!!
  9. QUOTE(YahtzeeSox @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 12:33 AM) Vote the real way. :banghead LOL. I've been voting your way for the last 2 hours.
  10. QUOTE(wsox08 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 12:30 AM) I would hate him getting triple crown... I would never hear the end to it, blah blah you guys won the world series but our guy got the triple crown. someone wins a world series every year, but what about the triple crown? How about this. If Lee wins the triple crown I will congratulate him profusely then remind the moron who tries to equate that with winning the series of the last time the f***ing scrubs won the series and ask them if anyone won the triple crown since then.
  11. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 12:22 AM) Me too! I was calling him Dead last night after the grand slam. I guess we could call him Dead is Alive now. Here's his new poster. Someone who actually knows how to photoshop can insert Jermaine's head on this. BTW. If you've actually seen that movie you just scored MAJOR cool points with me.
  12. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 12:22 AM) Me too, but then I started to think if I should vote for the worst NL player since This Time It Counts. Edit: And this may have been mentioned before, but if boston fans really are voting for matsui, they're f***in' idiots... I really doubt they are. They hate the Spankees even more than we do.
  13. Also benefitting from my Pods voting frenzy is Roy Oswalt who was my choice from the National Leauge.
  14. QUOTE(Jake @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 12:31 AM) And probably avoiding political/controversial topics would be good. I guess that rules out the other book I ordered with LCR's book. "100 people who are screwing up America (Al Franken is #37 )" LOL!
  15. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 10:27 PM) Well, I'll start this off then and then we can go from there with volunteers for future book suggestions. How about the first book being: Survivor - Chuck Palahniuk It is a novel about Tender Branson -- last surviving member of the so-called Creedish Death Cult -- dictating his life story into the flight recorder of Flight 2039. I read it before but haven't read it in a few years so I wanted to re-read it again...So I figured why not do it with this? Everybody down? I just put it on order with Amazon. Count me in.
  16. LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Runner up for post of the year!!!
  17. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 11:54 PM) I'm doin' it the normal way too, just in case... Damn, I don't know why, but it's gonna feel good if we pull this out. I totally want Pods to win the spot because he deserves it but I also want him to win just to stuff every bad thing John Kruk and Jay Moronatti said about Sox fans right up their asses.
  18. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 11:49 PM) Guys, vote the real way. This scripts aren't there just to try and stop people from cheating, they will have scripts set up to check and throw out certain votes. Its definately possible and why risk it. Voting the real way I'm maxed out. I have 4 different E-Mail addys that I use for various things and I voted 25 times on each. Time to "cheat" and hopefully they count anyway.
  19. QUOTE(PutItOnTheBoard @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 11:35 PM) we just have to wait and see...i have confidence in this team but we havent played the red sox yet that will be a good gauge for us to see just how good we are.....also we have played some good teams well this year...just look at our division....indians...twins...we have played both well.....we'll deal with the east when we get there...right now i'm feelin pretty confident about our chances against any team Agreed. In the playoffs its all about pitching and defense and I think we have enough of both to defeat anyone out there under those conditions.
  20. My eyes hurt I've been voting almost constantly for the last hour and a half using Yatzees method. I gotta get some sleep but I'll be voting every chance I get tomorrow when I get a break from work.
  21. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 11:28 PM) Nuke we gotta go back to the China thread tomorrow or somthing... time to sleep... or something. Anytime.
  22. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 10:46 PM) With the way JD has been hitting lately i could see it happening. Even if he doesn't get quite that far he's still on a pace for a career year. I'm actually growing to like Dye more and more lately and I'm certainly happy to eat a whole heap of crow after bashing him constantly in the beginning of the season.
  23. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 11:15 PM) Actually Nuke I don't know why I wrote "before you" about calling me an anti-American because you've never done that. Should have said others don't go calling me anti-American. But I did think you meant to include Martin my country's leader of who I do have some faith in, I was mostly joking though, didn't think you were calling me a moron. To add to this somewhat I give the Canadian government a lot of credit as they were the first to be out there fighting side by side with our soldiers when Afghanistan kicked off and I really enjoyed reading their exploits in magazines like Soldier of Fortune. ( no stereotypes please )
  24. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 11:05 PM) NUKE, Europeans, Canadians, non-Americans hate, loathe, abhor America is because of people like you who constantly belittle other nations and calling their leaders morons. Stop flaunting your ego and try and comprehend their ideas before your überpatriotic self blinds basic listening skills. I have a hard time believing you that this administration has done more for democracy and freedom than Chirac, Schröder and Putin because George and Blair installed two democracies that at this point are very inefficient. Putin is dealing with terrorists in Chechnya, Schröder with massive unemployment and economic collapse in Germany, and Chirac...he's doing...something? Conservatives like yourself want cake and to eat it when it comes to foreign policy, but America is blind more often than not to other countries. Do you honestly expect policy cooperation when the administration is in essence telling other countries to go f*** themselves because they're with the terrorists? This administration's gung-ho approach to foreign policy will never unite anything and will just produce political quagmires like we're seeing within the US and around the world. Ask the 25 million people in Iraq and millions more in Afghanistan who no longer are under the thumb of repressive regimes who has done more to advance the cause of freedom in the world.
  25. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 10:54 PM) I don't give credit to the administration for this, I give it to the troops. The administration could have taken 9/11 and used it to be spokesman, and to rally the entire world to their cause of freedom and democracy. Instead they completely blew it, and that's on them. They have failed at diplomacy if they were ever really interested in it in the first place. It's the new millenium, new beginnings, but the United States has started off on the wrong foot, they've lost all respect from the sniveling morons like me and they will pay the price before it can be regained. And before you go saying I'm anti-American don't waste your time because I know how I feel about America, and it's not that of antipathy. Dont confuse me with other posters. I never said you were anti-American and I dont plan to start now. There is a time for diplomacy and a time to go kick someones ass. The period for diplomacy ended when those 2 buildings fell down. BTW. I never called you a sniveling moron either. I was talking about world leaders like Chirac and Schroder. Please read my posts a little more closely.
