Sosa is just like Martin Gramitica of the Tampa Bay f***s. You all know him, the little runt placekicker who celebrates like he won the superbowl when he hits a chipshot field goal with 7:43 left in the 1st quarter. MB has been MONEY since he got here except for one bad stretch to start off last season. He has been consistent and will continue to be so. He gets people out, he gets it and throws it & he doesn't throw a 98 MPH fastball with no movement that leaves the park twice as fast as it got to the plate & if he got just a little more run support (these last 2 starts nonwithstanding) he'd have 10-15 more career wins. Bottom line. MARK IS MONEY. I've said that loud & proud since he got here & I'm gonna keep saying it so all you MB haters out there go ahead & bookmark this post cause this is where I call you out.

I went to both Saturday's & Sundays game and the difference between the two days was like night and day. On Saturday everyone in the lineup was trying to kill the ball, you know, break some windows in the Robert Taylor Homes across the interstate. On Sunday everybody, except for the Big Skirt who still doesn't get it, shortened their swings and started getting some base knocks & guess what? They got some pitches they could drive & the homeruns came for em. These two days provided lessons in how to and how NOT to conduct an offense.

I dont know where they are but I know where they can stick em.

Anyone see how relaxed he was after the O got him a lead in the 1st inning? He was as sharp as I've seen him so far this year & this makes 2 really nice outings in a row for No. 56. I'm so glad to see him heating up early in the season this time around.

That's a poor excuse. In April we were hitting the cover off the ball & it was cold back then. Their problem is when they start trying to kill every damn thing and forget about the walks and singles.

That may be the case today but he was totally sloppy in the field today. The only reason the 5 million dollar E-6 doesn't get a full on rant is cause he hit the ball real well today.

Has Rowand ever hit consistently? I used to be really big on giving him a chance to play every day to see if he could hit better with more AB's but I was dead wrong. He's an adequate defensive center fielder but he cant hit a freekin beachball at the plate.
