I got this game yesterday, I love it. The player movement is so fluid, it's sick. They cut and fall and crash into each other like real people, and not like sprites that pivot.

Yes, right here on page 36 of the January 2004 issue, it says, "The day I go searching through magazines to please some asshole on the internet, is the day I kill myself for becoming lamer than they are." So there you go, case closed.

That's a quality song, Thorogood is a stellar guitarist. Another one I like is "One Borboun, One Scotch, and One Beer" (hmm I think I see a theme here...), he just goes off at so many different points with nasty solos.
  4. Ron Franklin and Mike Gottfried are the best duo in any sport, hands down.

Attention people. Cerb is an asshole. Some of you are just now finding this out, the rest of us have learned to live with it.

chicken pizza w/bbq sauce is amazing, obviously.
  7. I wasn't attacking Steff I was being really sarcastic, and I haven't read any of the posts after this one, but the ones before it have me defending it as a sport. SSI brought wrestling into the equation, said it had large attendance numbers, and said it wasn't a sport. It had nothing to do with anything but somehow he thought it proved his point. Now I know why a good pct. of the people here dislike me. I can disagree with both sides of an argument simultaneously.

Adult Swim moves Family Guy and Futurama around every once in a while. Don't know why, but wait a month or two and it'll be back the other way.

poor girl missed the boat. two points for trying though.
  10. I travel to Pennsylvania every weekend to go to church, are you saying im not as dedicated as a baseball fan?

haha i was wondering how long until someone got that. "Oh yeah? Well that badass just gave half his paycheck to orphans. Orphans with diseases."
  12. Yeah Steff, and like millions of people travel to go to church every weekend, I bet church is attended even more attended than nascar. But church isn't a sport, is it? Noo. Therefore, nascar is not a sport.

In a related story, a couple days ago I became the slowest person to hit 3,000. Took almost two years.

I would say Gretzky transcended the game, but I don't know about making the people around him better. The Rangers never won crap when he was there. The Willis Reed thing is definitely a myth, as is the "If I don't get it, it sucks." one. I've been railing against that attitude forever, which is why you always see me jumping in on the Nascar threads even though I am not a huge fan of it.

Just found this today, appropriate though. Jason's favorite cereal...

Yeah I think you just use an ethernet cable and hook it up from the adapter to the hub.
  17. It's because they don't understand how it works. It's like saying OH I HIT A FLY WITH A NEWSPAPER THE OTHER DAY I GUESS THAT MAKES ME AN ATHLETE I COULD BE IN THE MAJOR LEAUGES

  19. http://www.somethingawful.com/articles.php?a=2261 i like some of the stuff these bands have done but the article is still pretty damn funny.
  20. Yes, yes it is. Now if only everyone else would figure that out.

Yeah trading in sports games right before the new ones comes out means you get jack.
  22. Yeah it doesn't really hold up. Doing something outside of competition means you're not doing the same thing. You can shoot hoops outside of competition, you can golf outside of competition, so what.
  23. His comment to the Critic in the disco demolition thread, "Admit it, are you a n***** or a f*g?" got him banned. He claims it was in jest, and I would tend to believe him, but it got him a month-long suspension nonetheless.
  24. uh, no you aren't.
  25. That's pretty funny but not really fair because Brando can't fight back, he's suspended.
