QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 11:11 PM) Question for fans. After hearing the panel discussions who do you feel would serve the zero-tolerance committee better? Palmiero or Schilling? Palmiero. Schilling is too much of a company man. Congressman (Pedro) Serrano is speaking now. Big baseball fan.

QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 11:09 PM) I just started watching about 15 min ago. Has McGwire answered a single damn question?? Yes: "I'm not going to talk about the past."

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 10:49 PM) About Curt Schilling being a complete jackass? I thought that this was common knowledge for years now..... Just watching him smirk after some of his comments makes me want to puke. This doesn't appear to be that serious to him.

QUOTE(Allsox @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 10:42 PM) After listening to Curt Schilling, I can come up with at least one figure: Curt Schilling = 100% Blowhole! :finger Guess I'm not alone on that assessment.

QUOTE(longshot7 @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 10:27 PM) Disprove it. What they did is at least part of the reason they are all in the bind that they are in today. I have a feeling that some of the front offices in baseball are wishing some of these records were never broken.

I've already stated my feelings on Canseco, but yes, he's been the most impressive today. Everybody else is either pleading ignorance and taking the company line for everything (which was basically expected).

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 09:48 PM) Disagreed. I respect the hell out of the man. Call him a whistle blower, call him what you will, this goof has been more up-front and respectable than any of the rest. Was he looking for some serious dough in writing "Juiced"? Perhaps. Does that diminish what he wrote in there or make things any less true? Absolutely not. I also feel that it will only be a matter of time before McGwire either admits to usage or is exposed as a former usage. I was referring to the current panels feelings toward him. I have no problem with Canseco outing the problem in his book, and many other people feel the same way. I do think he's been pretty sleazy about it though. And although he's taking a different tone today, he basically comes out as the spokesperson for steroid usage in his book. Yes, he's been upfront about it and there might be some good to come out of it. But from what I've read, I see no evidence that the book was for anything else than making money off it.

Is steroids cheating? McGwire: "That's not for me to determine."

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 09:40 PM) He's getting forgotten...what the f***? I think it was said earlier that Frank only had to make an opening statement. He didn't have to stick around. Based on how exciting it's been thus far, who could blame him. It's St Paddy's Day...he's probably heading to the bar.

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 09:36 PM) "Mark, did you or did you not use steroids?" "I plead the fifthhhhhhhhhh!" "One-Two-Three-Four-FIFTHHHHHH" "I'm Rick James b****!" I'm glad that McGwire has been so insightful today.

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 09:26 PM) Hey guys, Please don't hate me. I just got back from a day's worth of classes and simply don't have the energy to burn through 33 pages. If someone could post an all-encompasing review of today's events I would really, really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Doctors say steroids are bad for you. Sammy can't speak english. Lawyer does it for him. McGwire is sad. May or may have not used steroids. Same with Palmeiro. The rest say they did not use. Nobody likes Canseco. Committee takes a long lunch break.
