QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 10:42 AM) Like I said, I think this might only be like the 2nd or 3rd ab I've seen from Alex so that might be why. Anyways, yes..wgn is sucking hardcore for me. At least its not me. Its being sucky about the same time my mom turns the vacuum on and off which is odd. Hell even I did some vacuuming today since its easter (i'm such a nice son, lol).

BALK, Pods to 3rd.

QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 10:42 AM) What do you mean by sucking? It's good here though. WCIU was bad for me the other day.. horrible audio. The picture is going nuts. Maybe its just my cable provider.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 10:41 AM) Ask Row and Heads...I called this earlier. I said it today

I couldn't see the jump since WGN is crappy, but he stole that with ease. Like I said, tough to grip the ball in these conditions. I wouldn't be shocked if he took 3rd too.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 10:40 AM) No, I was talking about Cintron. His swing the times I've watched him play this year is long(I haven't seen to many games though ). It might not be that way all the time but it's looked ugly the times I've seen him. Oh I love Cintron's swing. Its very smooth, it appears long but thats because when he's going opposite field instead of staying back he seems to lengthen it a bit (from what I can tell). That way he's just through the zone a little slower. It does lead to some pop outs though, but overall I like his swing. IS WGN sucking for anyone else??

Considering the infield should still be try, I want him running. A wet ball will be tough to grip for Molina. Plus its always good running agaisnt one of the best in the biz against throwing guys out (Just to see where Pods is, speed wise).

Pods hammers one back up the middle.

It must be sprinkling a bit, some fans have umbrellas open. Which I think is the most selfish thing fans can do (since Umbrella's prevent others from seeing the game).

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 10:37 AM) From what I've seen of Alex he has a long swing, it's amazing that he can be effective as a bench player with that swing. Very impressive. I assume your referring to Mack. I think he's a solid bench player becuase he just tries to pull the ball and bench players must get more FB's on the Pirates or something. Cause his swing is hedious looking. Not that Anderson's is pretty. Everyone says Mack is streaky though so I'm waiting. He is versatile though which is nice.

Thank you Glausy.

Malik Allen...thank you for that jumper (I know its a Sox thread, but damn it I'm also watching the Bulls game.

Quick inning for Freddy.
-
How many times have Mack and Anderson went down looking with runners on. Oh well, great start to the game. Now lets hold em Frederico.

QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 10:27 AM) Crede has looked really good this year.. he's still playing like its September/October. For Crede its a matter of staying focused. In years past he'd give away ab's, but in the crunch he's so much more focused and it pays. He's doing that consistently this year.
-
Now we need Freddy to hold onto this lead. Is it supposed to rain a lot today? DJ just said the weather was crappy.
-
Aj may hit .300 this year. He looks so much better at the plate this season. He's been willing to go with pitches a lot more and than when he gets that pitch to pull he does that.
-
Considering we started the year without much pop, 14 hr's for the Sox now.
-
Thats vintage Dye. He hits missiles out. Beautiful.

YESSSSS 2 run BOMB by JD

Oh man, Paulie got a freaking hanger. Was out in front though.
-
Looking more like 05's top of the order. Come on Paulie, base knock.
-
Scotty is looking healthy. I think he's getting his confidence back. Expect a hot streak out of Mr. Pods this week. I've seen enough just based on him running last night when he got on and than turning it on on that triple.

Anderson not first to get off so slowly

QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 10:10 AM) I sat in centerfield Friday. He freezes on balls hit right at him like Rowand did, maybe that is just the position. I think he also plays to deep. Neither of which I am any more qualified than Tim Raines to address. As for his time at the plate Friday. He looked like a pithcer. Mack should be playing center for a week. KW should have some feelers out there...... I can live with Pods struggling as he looks off, same as Uribe. Anderson looks clueless and worse than that, helpless. Defensively he's superior to anyone else on the 25 man roster in CF though. I haven't seen enough of Anderson but he's very fluid, with a strong arm and I've seen him cut off balls that a lot of CF'ers wouldn't be able to. And its pretty normal for CF'rs to freeze from time to time on line shots hit right at them. Thats by far the toughest ball for an outfielder to read. Although I've yet to see him really screw up out there and like anything he's going to have to get adjusted to the major league level. I've long said all those people that said Anderson was going to be just as good as Rowand were freaking fools. Centerfield at the Cell is the most difficult spot to play CF in the bigs (due to the swirling winds) and to get good you need to get consistent playing time and make adjustments and start to learn the park. -
Anderson not first to get off so slowly
Chisoxfn replied to greasywheels121's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Anderson doesn't have a naturally pretty swing so he's going to have to be confident so he's out there being his agressive self. He's very tentative right now and its killing him. We all know I despise his swing and I've always been a little down on him as a prospect (as opposed to some) but I've never denied the talent is there. I really hope he can develop becuase he's the type of person Sox fans love (think Arow in a sense).
