  1. The site is going to be moving to a new server in the next few days. I don't expect any down time as I'm doing the move in advance of when the old server contract is up (Going to go to the same people that host Soxtalk). When the site switches over to the new server, then I'm going to begun a redesign process on the site. I'm not exactly sure what all is going to be changed, but I'm going to try and make it a little better, color wise, and get some more graphics involved. I'm also going to be getting the SoxNet Network involved and some links and story space for WSC, like they do for FutureSox. Also, part of the renovation will be the completion of player pages and such. If anyone has anythings they'd like to see improved or added, nows a great time to tune in. Something that isn't part of the redesign is going to be the beginning of our beat writer coverage of the minor league teams with at least a weekly piece on each affiliate.
  2. Intimidators Place Deininger on the Disabled List By Jason Gage April 21, 2004 FutureSox.com The Kannapolis Intimidators placed right handed pitcher Todd Deininger on the 15 day disabled list retroactive to April 19th. Deininger, 22, was placed on the disabled list due to soreness in his shoulder. He has pitched 2/3 of an inning out of the pen this season and has a 0.00 ERA. Last season Deininger was with Kannapolis where he pitched successfully out of the bullpen and starting rotation. The Intimidators activated 3rd string catcher Cesar Castillo from the disabled list. Castillo, 24, played in 41 games for the Bristol White Sox last season. He batted .222 with 1 homer and 8 RBI.
  3. His slider has looked much improved this year and I think that, along with his ability to mix pitches so well, will help revive him. However, I don't think he'll beat Schilling out for Cy Young.
  4. I caught the first part on the bunt. Personally, with that offense, I don't have a problem with Arod trying to get on base another way. I did like how Kruk and him were able to go at it though. I love catching some baseball debate and Kruk is going to add a lot to the show, imo.
  5. I'm going to step up and say Buehrle betters last season numbers and bucks the trend this year. His breaking pitches have looked a lot better this year and he seems to be a lot fresher. His command has been better, up until yesterday and I think as the season progresses and the umps strike zones widen up, he will really get in a groove. Count me down as saying Buehrle will have an ERA below 3.20 and he will win 19-21 games.
  6. Big Hurt and if Maggs signs a long term deal and stays here a lot longer, Maggs. Thats it. If Ozzie ends up being a damn good manager for us for a while, then I'd say he's worthy as well.
  7. Can someone give me an update...my gamecast is going nuts.
  8. Welcome aboard. If it is called then the Sox would probably make it up in the next two days with a doubleheader. The key is whether it rains so hard that the field is no longer suitable to play cause with this size lead the umps are going to wait as long as possible and hope the game can get in. Here's to hope it just keeps pouring and pouring. If they don't get another pitch in for about another hour, then I'd say the odds are good, especially since forecasts say the weather will only get worse. Plus I don't think the outfield grass can take too long of a downpour.
  9. Buehrle has to settle in and pitch. The Sox offense needs to just concentrate on getting hits...get hits and the runs will come.
  10. Nice walk...Aboz...let me just give you one word of advice, don't look at the tivo to see what you missed..it was ugly. Come on Paulie
  11. Yes, Magglio doubles home Uribe...I would of s*** my pants if he got thrown out. Uribe looked like he was out of gas rounding 3rd. 7-1 Skanks...come on Sox, keep on scoring...one hit at a time
  12. Yes, Uribe with a single. Come on guys, one hit at a time...don't swing for the fences.
  13. Ah s***, Willie Harris whiffs to start the game.
  14. Yep, then the arod bunt, the ball that just got past Konerko/Harris, the ball Harris could of caught, walks, hbp, geeze. Come on offense.
  15. Ya, plus it will drag the game out just in case the Sox suck even more and the rain comes and bails them out.
  16. Thank god I was doing statistics homework. I dont' know what is more awful..statistics or that inning (That reminded me of the inning in Oakland last year where Buehrle gave up a ton of runs thanks to some piss poor defense).
  17. Jesus, any consolation that the ump is squeezing Buehrle now. For cripes sake Arod hit the hardest ball of the inning and its caught at the track by Maggs. I sure as hell hope the Sox go out and beat up on this Graman kid.
  18. Well, I'm gonna go on a hunch and say Neal is going to pitch tonight. Buehrle has thrown a ton of pitches already. Wow has this defense been awful tonight.
  19. Well your wish was answered...a hard hit ball for a double :puke
  20. Geeze, this is s***. Good defense and the Sox are long out of this inning with a minimal amount of runs. I think I'll be doing a rain dance
