  1. I don't really have a problem with this, although I think 14 is pretty low for a team just barely out of 1st place, especially considering this is how the Twins played for a long while. Still, I am at least partially concerned at the bats failure to produce, especially in clutch situations, but at the same time, I'm pleasantly surprised with their ability to win the games in which they don't produce offensively; Something they failed to do during the Jerry Manuel tenure. I think pretty quickly, we'll see this offense click. They've hit a ton of solo homers, but eventually those homers will be 2 and 3 run homers and we'll also see more clutch hits. These hitters are too good, at least most of them.
  2. If no one posts it by the time I get home, I'll take a look at one of my old ticket stubs and post it on here for ya
  3. That guys site is absolutely hilllarious.
  4. My though is, if Rex gets hurt or just dissapoints, I'd think the Bears chances of going to the playoffs are much greater with Kurt then with Quinn. In fact, when healthy, Warner is a hell of a quarterback, even if I don't really like the guy.
  5. -Quitting marijuana, and I've only had like 3 cigarettes the past month, and no booze. Thats awesome...so I'm guessing no more insanely swollen/popped something in your eye. Seriously though, congrats.

Ah thats great news. I really like Deiningers arm. He's got a good fastball with some life to it.

Someone needs to talk me off the ledge
  10. I can't stop laughing over the whole thing. I'm just hoping the media coverage will be much like Bonds and they'll just act as if he never won anything
  11. Mrs. Warner is the best...her comments crack me up. I love it when wives control athletes, its pure comedy. First Glen Rice, then Doug Christie, now Warners wife.

Tracey pitched pretty good, minus the 5 walks. didn't give up a run and he's really been berring down, plus he had 8 k's. He's one of my favorite prospects, I'd love see someone who played ball in my hometown make it

Nah, I got dignity...I'll just break his typing hands
  14. I agree at the end of the season the Sox will be choosing between Lee and Maggs. However, what if the choice ended up being between Lee and Konerko. Both will be due pretty good money and if Konerko has a good year he will also be marketable. I think as of now, the Sox will hold, but I'd look for KW to be agressive if a player is out their to really put this team over the top.
  15. This quote from Tex in the 2k4 Posting Race Remember Jas made most of his posts in the days before expansion. There wasn't as many forums and threads to post in. Kind of like Babe Ruth and Bonds.

He's very agressive at the plate, don't worry Dan...it will all work out, Young = Potential STUD (if I had to say it again..I just like pissing you off, lol)

OMG, after reading through this whole thread, all I can say is :lolhitting This was pure comedy, I'm with aboz, this has got to be up for nomination as the thread of the year.

Exactly...we need some type of testing system

Baj has been pitching outstanding. Oh ya, Young had a double in the first game. (For kanny)
  20. Lets not jump the gun yet
  21. I'd say Kelly, but I still don't really see much need for Burke here either, so I wouldn't be shocked if Burke went down instead.
  22. Chisoxfn replied to MnSoxFan's topic in FutureSox Board
Kanny ended up splitting the double hitter.
  23. I don't have a freaking clue. I'd have Neal Cotts in their or would of had someone. No point having mark pitch on 3 day rest this early.
  24. Its just one game and knowing Ozzie, he'll use this game as motivation and I think tomorrow the Sox will play a really crisp game. Also, want to say welcome aboard
  25. I've only seen Arnie pitch in spring training, but I think he tops out at 90, but is more in the 88-89 range, although he could very well throw 91 or so.
