Ya, although I think the Sox will first give him a little more time in Winston Slame. However, if he keeps hitting for the next couple weeks, he'll definately be in-line for a promotion. The Barons outfield has been pretty weak with the exception of Michael Spidale.

Wunsch Optioned to AAA Charlotte By Jason Gage May 9, 2004 FutureSox.com The White Sox activated left handed specialist Kelly Wunsch from the 15 day disabled list on Monday and then optioned Wunsch to Charlotte. Wunsch, who was originally drafted in the 1st round by the Milwaukee Brewers, still had all his options remaining. The White Sox will likely leave Wunsch in Charlotte while trying to trade him or letting him continue to work on adding a few mph back onto his fastball in an effort to make it back up with the White Sox. As of now the White Sox are comfortable with their bullpen situation and no changes appear imminent, although Jon Adkins has been used infrequently as of late. For the time being Wunsch will continue to be an asset for a good Knights bullpen. Wunsch is 0-0 with a 4.26 ERA for the Knights this season. He has pitched in 9 games and has given up 6 hits while striking out 8 in 6.1 innings of work. Wunsch has pitched in 209 major league games and is 10-5 with 42 holds, 1 save and a 3.69 ERA. Last season Wunsch went 0- with a 2.75 ERA while limiting opposing batters to a .139 AVG.

Diaz is going to be up from what I can tell. He's had his start pushed back and everything.

Makes sense to me. no point in giving him away, he's a good pitcher and he'll be back in the majors sooner or later.

Lol, I've been thinking the same thing. I mean, look at what Zito has done with a good curve alone. Its not like his other pitches are all that amazing, they are just good enough to keep hitters from sitting or focusing on his nasty curve. All I know is Arnie has a bright future, whether its as a starter or reliever, I have no idea, but he is going to be good.

Warthogs' Anderson Wins CL Player of the Week Press Release From Warthogs.com May 9, 2004 Winston-Salem, NC – Winston Salem outfielder Brian Anderson and Myrtle Beach pitcher Jose Capellan were tabbed The Sports Network Co-Players of the Week ending Sunday, May 9th. Anderson led the Warthogs to a 6-1 record this week, batting .516 (16-for-31), and led the league in hits (16), doubles (4), and RBI (10), while placing second in runs scored (9). His .516 batting average for the week was the highest of any player with more than 13 at bats. He also helped his club with his two home runs and three stolen bases. Because of his four doubles and two homers, Anderson carried an impressive .839 slugging percentage and an equally impressive .559 on-base-percentage. Anderson raised his batting average to .326 for the season with two home runs and 15 RBI. Capellan went 1-0 with a 0.69 ERA last week and certainly deserved a better fate. He was second in the league by one-third of an inning for total innings pitched (13.0), second-best ERA (0.69) for pitchers with two or more starts, and league leader in strikeouts (14) as the Pelicans went just 3-4 for the week. The 23-year-old right-hander started his week with a no decision against Salem last Monday, a game the Pelicans lost 2-1. However, it was not Capellan's fault, as he surrendered just two hits, one earned run, two walks and struck out six in six strong innings. Capellan followed that effort up with another strong start, a seven-inning stint against Lynchburg Saturday, May 8. The right-hander had much better luck this time around, as he allowed one run, none earned in six innings, while walking one and striking out eight en route to a 5-3 Pelicans victory. Capellan raised his record to 2-1 for the season with a 3.08 ERA in five starts. Earlier Honors went to Potomac first baseman Tony Blanco and Lynchburg starter Paul Maholm in Week One. Week Two saw Kinston catcher Ryan Garko and Wilmington pitcher Eric Ackerman capture Player of the Week Honors, while Potomac outfielder Chris Denorfia and Myrtle Beach pitcher Blaine Boyer took Week Three Honors.

I'll root for Ginter. He always put up solid numbers down in the minors, but never looked comfortable in the majors. A change of scenery may be best for him. Is Rupe injured? Like I always said, if we were to miss anyone from that trade, he'd be the one we'd miss. Also, Scott Dunn has been good for the Angels. I haven't looked at his stats, but their announcers talk about him often.

I'm really impressed with his maturity. The other thing I caught out of the article was that his back has really been ailing him. I don't know about you guys, but I think a back injury is quite possibly one of the most difficult things for a hitter to deal with. I'd say Back, wrist and legs are all essential for you swing. Hopefully this has been the cause for his funk and I really hope he gets his back healthy and then starts raking the ball.

Thats true, however, I think in Baj's situation, he won't be getting called up directly. With Munoz, its very well a possibility. The other thing that scares me about Charlotte is as of late, some of the Sox really good prospects really seem to go to Charlotte and then really sputter.

He's been filthy so far. I'd start to say a promotion is ready, but I also look at it as part of this years experience for him will be to see how he holds up to an extended stay in the rotation. Plus, the Knights rotation has been exceptional and is full. I still have to believe the move of Rauch to the pen is temporary and maybe even cancelled now that Pacheco just went down. I mean one of the starters is going to be promoted soon, probably Diaz, which would mean the 6 man rotation that was figured to be used goes back to 5. Plus, I think Wright moving to the pen would make more sense, but I guess the Sox just don't think that highly of Rauch or at least thats what this would lead you to believe. And you have the unhittable one, Baj, just lighting it up down in Bham. He's got to get up to Charlotte by midseason and I'd hope by then they'd make room for him. You rock Baj

Well, Miggy still needs at bats against righties because he is going to be playing against them in the future. By the way, whats been up with all these stolen bases. The Sox really need to do some work on this.

Why shouldn't we be optimistic. The team has its flaws, but last I looked its in 1st place and the offense has yet to hit its stride. The pitching staff has been solid, minus the 5th spot and the Sox are at this point with Buehrle struggling and those struggles won't continue. You also have Elo whose starting to get back on track, imo. He probably won't be what he was last year, but he's still a good pitcher.

Just don't ask Aboz what he thought of Bik
