Sheets=Reed+Cotts
Sabathia=Borchard+Cotts
Garcia=No OF prospects prob. pitching prospects
Take you pick
BTW, would prob. get Sabathia cause of course I am a big fan of Reed and he is very young.
Well, If we can get a decent trade without giving up much for Garcia, (or a Sabathia/Sheets) then by all means f*** yea! But if no team is ready yet, it wouldn't hurt to give a guy a couple starts to see then he'll take it from there.
Correction: He has walked twice (as I recall those 2 were in one game.. go figure ) Here is his stats along with the other players.. 2004 Individual Statistics - Winston Salem Warthogs
Here's the rule for all everyone on this site out there: Don't post anything (perfect game or no-hitter) till they finish the 6th inning. That's when you get serious. It worked with me starting a thread for Randy Johnson, and maybe it will work the next time.
Homer Simpson!!
Homer Bailey. Posted a 13-0 record with a 0.57 era. He's 6'4 right hander and threw 78 2/3 innings, struck out 180 and walked only 12 batters!! Probably will be the 1st high schooler taken in he draft as well.
Here's his story
Homer Bailey
Ditto. If certain teams can survive without a good offensive threat missing (A's=Chavez, Cubs=Sosa, Phillies=Thome [now back], etc..) than I think we can cope without Maggs and still be in the thick of the race.
Hell, I'll name some old movies that were a favorite:
Star Wars
Wizard of Oz
A Street Car Named Desire
The Good The Bad and the Ugly
The King and I (original)
and so on..
