  1. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 11:46 AM) I like the fact your signature compares Obama to Jesus. Jesus had "no real responsibilities"
  2. FYI: There's already a "green screen" video on YouTube from last night speech. It's slightly inappropriate, so I wont post it, but you can see it here. This si the first of many i bet.
  3. QUOTE (Steff @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 12:41 PM) I gotta say, I was pretty disgusted that she had that child in the middle of all that noise. Not because he has DS, but because he's 5 months old and should have been in bed. I don't think anyone would have faulted her for saying "Sorry Trig couldn't be here.. it's a bit past his bedtime." that would have been a cute moment
  4. Jet for Sale on e-bay... not so true I got to thinking last night in the vacuum of SoxTalklessness, what reputable government official would ACTUALLY sell government property on e-bay? especially a milti-million dollar jet. That's a stunt if you ask me
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 12:07 PM) Ok, here's our plan. Senator McCain only does town hall formats and press appearances. Governor Palin gives all the written speeches. but no press conferance. media cant talk to her. might ask her a hard foreign policy question she doesnt know.
  6. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 12:00 PM) 3)How much Bob Barr will affect McCain in the south Barr needed to be on the national scene by now. I think it's too late for him. He might hold McCain down a few points to where Obama can slip through in say VA or NC. But in general, he wont be a huge mover and shaker.
  7. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 11:19 AM) Question for the one's who know more than me: Is it pretty much a situation where if McCain wins OH, VA, FL he will win and if Obama wins one of the three he will win? Want to have some fun? Check out 270towin.com. It's a great way to play with the electoral map. Very interactive. It's how I do my projections.
  8. ABC News: Investigation into Palin Now on Fast Track I take this as a "get you butt into gear Palin" move. She has been trying to stonewall the investigation until after the election. Reports are today that two potentially damaging witnesses already interviewed. So, maybe this is a move to get her to trestify. If she doesnt, the report gets released with mostly the "bad stuff" and no push back.
  9. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 10:50 AM) Okay, I'm McCain's campaign manager, first order of duty: NEVER LET HIM SPEAK IN FRONT OF A SCREEN THAT FRAMES HIM IN GREEN AGAIN! Hire me. or a very easily chroma keyed blue.
  10. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 10:44 AM) A lot of the "issues" brought up around Palin - their daughter being pregnant, for example - are pure B.S. But I must admit, things like this, and her involvement in the trooper firing, concern me. Seems she likes to use her position of power for her personal crusades and vendettas. the whole firing for "lack of support" is VERY bothersome to me. That's hard core Washington politics at it's best (well, worst). Dont be a decenter. Dont disagree. if you do... you;re gone.
  11. Senate Dems to force equal pay vote on McCain
  12. Palin Tries to Fire Librarian for Not Supporting Censorship
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 10:29 AM) what in the hell were they thinking with that picture in the background? A bunch of you have speculated that the intention was actually to use Walter Reed Medical Center but that someone goofed and pulled a picture of Walter Reed Middle School. But here is an interesting thing brought up by TMP:
  14. Today on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, campaign strategist Rick Davis suggested Palin might never sit down for an interview if, he said, it’s “in our best interest” to keep her away from the media: Translation: She's not ready for the national press, so you cant have her. Good lord, if she cant handle an interview, how is she going to handle the country????
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 10:10 AM) It's also worth noting that in the public financing system, there are limits to how much money you can spend in each state. there is? I've never heard that
  16. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 10:16 AM) Pretty much, and they know it. They are not going to attack that stuff, at least the ones with any sense. if I can find the link, there was a report I read last week that the RNC is planning to really push the "dubious connections" with a series of ads, talking points, and press conferences. Found It:
  17. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 10:15 AM) f*** the what did you do? database error
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 10:14 AM) Just win Ohio. Not saying he shouldn't try. But you need to broaden the base to be safe. McCain cant afford to try to win CO and NM. He just needs to defend them.
  19. Go west young man. Go West. Obviously he needs to pay close attention to Ohio and VA, but CO, NM, and NV are a really nice "back up". Based on my projections in the other thread, if Obama looses OH and VA, he can still win if he can get NV, CO, and NM. McCain needs to defend OH and VA and that opens up the west to Obama.
  20. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 10:04 AM) They bled Hillary's campaign in a similar fashion. death by a thousand cuts... ummmm dollars
  21. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 10:04 AM) You stated the speech didn't excite his own base. I give you an example from the base, and you tell me he is partisan. I'm not saying they didnt like the speech. I'm just saying they didnt really get into except for those two points.
  22. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 09:59 AM) Looking at the scenarios and electoral maps, and then taking into account the massive advantage Obama has in money there is really only one approach for McCain if he wants to win. He has to go national. The only way McCain can afford to go nation is go balls to the wall negative and get the media into it like he did a month or so ago. And I'm not talking "Obama's gonna to raise taxes" negative. I'm talkin Resko, Wright, and Ayres attacks coming directly from the RNC and McCain.
  23. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 09:56 AM) Oh 2 networks is your source. Well I would rather go with the actual human being that I know as opposed to the MSM who might have an agenda. the actual human being who happens to be a bit partisan in his opinion?
  24. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 5, 2008 -> 09:42 AM) I think Virginia is getting ready to flip. To take that turn, it will literally be a flip of the coin at this point. It's so tight there is not even a way to see either pulling away by more than 3 points.
