You beat me to that idea. lol. I was just about to log-in and say basically the same thing. If you look that the picture that was posted earlier in the thread, in order for the stadium to face downtown, it would have to face directly north (or slightly off north). This would then cuase the 3rd baseline stands to block the sun and the stands behind home would block the sun when it is closer to the horizon. THe Only downside i would see is that people in the 1st baseline stands would be subjected to very bright view of the setting for a few hours during games that start at 7PM. I have sat in the bleachers for a night game and I had the sun in my eyes for about an hour once the game started. If you were sitting higher like you would be if you were in an upper deck, you might have the sun in your eyes for 2 hours or more.

Are you freaking KIDDING me? The ballpark couldnt be faced differantly because they couldnt move utilities? THat is the LAMEST excuse I have ever heard! the park cost what? 100 million? for an extra 2 they couldnt move the utilities?

I honestly dont have an answer. However, that is one of the criticisms of the park. A lot of people think that the park would be more popular if it was just rotated 90 degrees and had a view of downtown.

I really hate when sports writers come up with fantisy trades. Mainly because people read it and think it is an actuall trade that is being talked about so they get their hopes up.

OH I totally agree. THe only reason I think Dean is a great choise is because I have been glued to Fox News/MSNBS/CNN/C-Span, so I have seen a lot of what Dean has to say. And when it comes down to actual ideas on how to fix this country, Dean has all the good ones. Kerry has taken a lot of Deans stances and used them as part of his campagn.

Actually, Deans platform is that he wants to take care of the economy and health care. He has just stated that he is against the war. But primaraly, he is stressing the economy and health care.

I just want to say that I am currently pushing for a change in the US Constitution and in one week I will be declairing myself the first ever 20 year old presidential canidate. I will be under the White Sox Fan for Life Party. I am currently accepting aplications to be my VP running mate. Only stipulation is that you have to be a White Sox fan (shouldnt be to hard around here).

I took a class taught by a very close friend of Mosley Braun. This woman who taught my class is also a very important person in Mosley Braun campaign organization. If this woman is an indication of what Mosley Braun is like, then we are ALL in trouble if Mosley Braun is elected president. My teacher was one of the most scater brianed individuals I have ever met.

Dean is from Vermont. They dont hold their primary until March 2nd. By looking at what Dean is doing, I think he is going to try to get quantity over quality. You look at Kerry who is going after Missouri (which has 74 tied to February 3 primar). WHile Dean is going after Arizona (55 tied to February 3 primary) and New Mexico (26 tied to February 3 caucuses). Let's say that Kerry gets 40 of those Missouri delgates, 17 in Arizona, and 7 in New Mexico, that puts him at 97 deligates (between Iowa, NH, Missouri, Arizona, NM) Let's say Dean gets 15 of those Missouri delgates, 25 in Arizona, and 10 in New Mexico, that puts Dean at 66. THat doesnt even factor in that Dean will probably go after North Dakota. If this senerio unfolds, then Dean is VERY much still in it.

What are your guys’ opinions of the Democratic presidential nominee race? I always thought I was a Republican. Primarily because my parents were republican and I never really cared much about politics growing up so I just always said that I was republican. Now that I have left my teenage years behind me (I am 20, going on 21), I am taking a closer look at my personal beliefs about politics. And now that I am doing that, I really see myself more of a Democrat. (Actually, more like a combination of Republican and Democrat, but I won’t go there) So, I have been paying close attention to the democratic race. And I have to tell you, I am really impressed with Howard Dean. Unlike Kerry who tends to skirt a lot of topics, Dean is not afraid to come out and give his opinion of what is wrong with a topic and how he will fix it. I am really said that a lot of people seem to be falling for Kerry’s “I will beat Bush” campaign and ignoring the fact that he really isn’t saying much of anything at all.

I think the article brought up a few great points as to why Rudy wouldn’t be on the ticket. Primarily I think it is pro-choice and pro-gay rights stance. Bush is very much against those. It would be hard for me to believe that Bush would sacrifice his morals just to get re-elected. BUT, adding Rudy would almost guarantee him the state of NY in the election.

Those are the renovations being made THIS off season (2003-2004)? Or are those the ones that will be made after the 2004 season? It seems to me like all of that is going to be done THIS off season. Do you have any info on what will be done NEXT off season? PS: I am new to this board, so be nice to the rookie. lol
