Thome calling him really helped. "He's a monster." The Sox were proactive and that impressed him. He expects to be better at 34 than he is now. There could be more things ahead in the offseason. He was born with the hips that he has. They are...different. They never gave him problems before. Winning a World Series doesn't make him complacent. He will still "beat himself up". He's "driven". They called him classy for giving JR the World Series ball at the rally. He said it wasn't a planned thing with his agent. He wants to repeat.
