  1. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 17, 2005 -> 10:49 AM) Don't forget the "Round-Up" to baptize the ivy with. HA!
  2. QUOTE(marsh @ May 17, 2005 -> 02:32 PM) then why not bat uribe leadoff oh well, just have to agree to disagree. I disagree with agreeing to disagree.
  3. QUOTE(marsh @ May 17, 2005 -> 02:18 PM) you say yourself that crede is an out waiting to happen, isn't this the guy you want batting last? Actually, when the game gets going, batting order doesn't mean much; only, "who bats in front of whom". IMO, Uribe is a better guy to hit in front of Pods than Crede. If Crede gets on, GREAT! Uribe can knock him in.
  4. Can you show me stats proving that the #8 guy actually gets that many more at-bats than the #9 guy? Does it make that much of a difference in the overall hitting stats? Juan has shown in the past that he get on base more than Crede. So, even if Pods fails to do more than bunt Uribe over to 2nd, Iguchi can still knock him in. Crede is an out waiting to happen, more often than not.
  5. When Thomas gets back, I'd like them to use this order and see how well it works: Pods Gooch Hurt Hot Carl ARow PK AJ Cruddy Juanny
  6. QUOTE(marsh @ May 17, 2005 -> 01:30 PM) Lineup I'd like to see on a temp. basis til frank comes back. 1. Pods 2. the gooch 3. ARow 4. Uribe 5. Everett 6. AJ 7. PK 8. Dye 9. Crede Uribe 4th? Pods Gooch ARow Hot Carl AJ Uribe Dye PK Crede IMO
  7. QUOTE(kapkomet @ May 17, 2005 -> 10:17 AM) Jabroni, I want to check something out. What are the positives of the White Sox so far? Jabroni: *crickets*
  8. Thomas should bat 5th behind Paulie. Paulie would see better pitches then. (He'd see them go by and be called strikes though, I'm afraid.) :headshake

  12. QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 15, 2005 -> 02:42 PM) Not for the weak at heart at all when you've got guys like Nuke, Jabroni and myself in there trying to analyze. [Hawk]I luuuv it when you analyze.[/Hawk]
  13. Mariotti to Sox fans: Get out to the games! I hate to admit it, but he's right.
  14. When it comes to Sox players, I've only met a couple guys. The 1987 preseason caravan came to South Bend. The Sox busted out those new red white and blue unis with the blue curly C caps for the first time. Robin Ventura was still a AA wannabe, so they sent a veteran, the starting 3rd baseman and a rookie pitcher. Harold Baines, Steve Lyons and Bill Long. Ribbie and Rhubarb were there too. It was a pretty cool experience for a 13/14 yr old kid. Besides the players, I even got autos from R&R!
  15. Gamble was traded WITH Hoyt TO the Sox. My bad. Yeah, I forgot Tim Lollar and Bill Long.
  16. Hoyt was a drug addict and his career was slowly burning out after 1983. The Sox are lucky that they got Salazar, Gamble and Guillen for him.
  17. 12-13 wins 4.25-ish ERA is average for a "#2" guy.
  18. I still stand behind my "Garcia is average" statement.
  19. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ May 14, 2005 -> 11:02 PM) A butterfly flapping its wings in Tokyo could get to Cabrera in the Cell. I found that butterfly.
  20. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 14, 2005 -> 10:31 PM) It's times like these I'm glad that Nuke doesn't have access to guns......... It's times like these I'm glad that Nuke doesn't have access to a watertower or book depository.
