Hit the switch and leave the broom
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 11:21 AM) Perfect. I say we all chip in and get them all a nice trophy and/or ribbon each. It's the least we can do after not coming out in full support this season and crushing their already broken souls into smaller pieces with our boos. Hell, if we want to get literal, this is our fault. We owe it to them. http://www.cappelsinc.com/catalog.asp?prod...;showprevnext=1 Someone needs to buy about 4 dozen and mail them to KW for distribution.

Where Can You Find that Iconic Pic/Poster of the 1993 Clinch?
I loved '83 and '93 the most over '00 or '08. Though, '05 will always be my fav until they win another next year.

Buy a refurbished computer on eBay. I got a real good one for under $200.00.

Where Can You Find that Iconic Pic/Poster of the 1993 Clinch?
QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 01:04 PM) Damn this thing is hard to track down! You'd figure if it makes it onto the wall at the Cell it should be around somewhere! Is the one at the Cell a nice photo? Take a photo of that photo the next time you are there.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 11:16 PM) Thanks for the link, but I couldn't get any of them to work. That computer is so f***ed. I just told them to have a guy we know just completely wipe it and start from scratch. Couldn't hurt. What's the RAM, memory, processor on it?

Catch All Anything Thread
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 08:24 PM) Not-so-quick question that likely won't have a simple answer: The computer at my family's house is used by a few of my siblings and my mom. My brother took it upon himself to create a separate log-in for himself, but unfortunately his account is the administrator and he forgot his password. This computer is getting pretty old and is definitely on its last legs if a good virus protection isn't installed on it. I've already got this set up (from the account I have, I can put it on 3 different computers). The problem is that I can't install it on their computer because I need to be on the administrator account. My parents don't put enough stock in technology to get a new computer, so it's either save this one or they're going to go a long time before getting a new one. Does anyone know how to clear the accounts or bypass the password? It's XP and the computer is probably from around 2005, perhaps even a littler earlier. http://www.mydigitallife.info/forgot-windo...istaxp20032knt/

2011 White Sox Catch-All Thread
Leyland keeps out-managing Guillen. Today, Guillen helped him. Pierre gets a hit. He rarely gets extra base hits, this is well-known. Ozzie has Ramirez batting second. Ramirez honestly, is no good at bunts and has maybe 6 in the year. If Ramirez succeeds in not popping out into a double play, Pierre goes to 2nd. Paulie's next with first base open. Congrats! You just took the bat out of the hands of your best hitter! Then Rios or A.J. bat cleanup (12 hrs between them) and ground into a DP. Killing a rally. Is it so hard to bat Viciedo or Quentin 3rd and Paulie 4th to avoid intentional walks? Is it so hard to allow Pierre to actually steal 2nd and not give up an out right away? Perhaps use the #2 guy to bunt Pierre to 3rd?

Cooper and/or Ozzie status could affect MB coming back next year
QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 14, 2011 -> 06:41 PM) 1.) I already said I didn't want Juan back, even though I respect what he made out of his season. I also said I'd cut Dunn and keep Rios and make him fourth outfielder just because of the contract. In a perfect world, yes I'd cut both. I'd resign Mark. Sign Ozzie to a 4 year extension; move Kenny to another job. You have to decide as a fan... Do you want to live in "2005 World" or do you want the team to work towards another championship in the future? Remember the past fondly, but always look forward.

2011 Films Thread
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 13, 2011 -> 12:33 PM) I want to seriously injure the guy from the commercial who introduces the movie. The QB from the Waterboy. He'll do anything for Sandler. Remember the gay open-mouthing kissing scene in Big Daddy?

I don't believe that I've ever walked out on a film. Of course, I rarely go to non-mainstream films in the theater.

QUOTE (bozzie @ Sep 13, 2011 -> 11:55 AM) Thank you for your editing diligence, but frankly I really don't care where the overzealous mods decide to move bozzie's posts; the sentiment is the same. Thank you for your due dilligence in posting, however, I really don't care about what overzealous posters think about how I do my job.

Dunn is Done.
QUOTE (bozzie @ Sep 13, 2011 -> 11:48 AM) You know you've hit a nerve with kool-aid addled Sox fans when they start writing posts bemoaning the awful puns you're using to describe the biggest bust in professional sports history, White Sox Designated (s)Hitter, Adam Dunn. They'd rather wave their cloth pennants and provide offseason positive reinforcement to an overweight and underachieving baseball player who at best was too lazy to train this past offseason and at worst is the latest casualty of MLB's adjustment to the steroid controversy. But how else than "done" and "dung" to describe a .162 hitter with 10 homers, 40 RBIs, and a wallet fat enough to fit 17 million washingtons inside of it this year alone? The talk about "Adam Dung, 2012 comeback player of the year" is as ludicrous as Ozzie's demand for an extention on his contract after two of three years at or below .500. How 'bout Dunn shows he can get to the Mendoza line first? The only story I want to read this offseason - in one sure to be filled by the Sox's marketing whitewash about how hard Dung is working toward redemption - is the pig himself standing up and saying, "I embarrassed myself, I let Chicago fans down, and I didn't deserve 1/10th of what the White Sox paid me." Only then will Dung possess the proper mindset to right the huge wrong he perpetrated on Major League Baseball this year. So until then, "done" indeed . . . While I appreciate your enthusiasm, we already have a Dunn thread complaining about him in the last 24 hours. Merged.

Fix This Pitching Staff Or Else . . .
QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Sep 13, 2011 -> 09:59 AM) The stress of not having an offense for almost 2 years is taking its toll. When every inning of every game is high stress, something usually will give. So... What you're saying is.... Losing is a disease. As contagious as syphilis or bubonic plague.

Don't tease me...
...and Morel, and Quentin, and Pierre for the first half, and Flowers, and Teahen, and Ramirez is still not selective enough. Rowand, Crede, Uribe and Pods all had issues too.
