  1. I like it because it keeps the pitchers safer and it helps keep the offense moving.
  2. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 06:35 PM) Quick question before I send out invites tonight. Is there a way to just re-activate the league from last year? I just wanna make sure there's no confusion as to rosters & whatnot. You can reactivate it but make sure you change the league to keeper in the commish settings.
  3. Anyone want to be in a mock draft? http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1...p;lobby=auction
  4. Ramirez Justin Upton Billingsley Cain/Verlander (flip a coin)
  5. QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 12:20 PM) fade into bolivia? I'm 90% sure that it was an on purpose joke.
  6. I doubt that she has a clue that 1. she insulted him and 2. it bothers him.
  7. If the media asked Peavy about his opinion of Damon, he said that he liked him and he was a winner (his history with Boston and NYY). Every MLB player respects guys who have consitantly won. That's why Jeter gets so many "props" from his peers. I think that people are looking into the quote too much.
  8. When Noah comes back full strength and they give Warrick and Murray more minutes, they'll win games like this.
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 09:22 PM) Jer, I really appreciate the advice here, but I am not concerned at all that she called her friend instead of me. What I am concerned about is that she took her frustration out on me when I did absolutely nothing to deserve it (I can hear the jokes already). Am I supposed to just allow her to do that? Women are emotional. You just rolled the dice at the wrong time when you called. The kids, the truck, and the day's stress was getting to her and you happened to be the one she chose to vent it on. Buy her something nice, and let the issue go. If the attitude later becomes a trend, then talk about it.
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 08:58 PM) Ok, perhaps. I guess I didn't ask for people to psychoanalyze my girlfriend though. I would prefer advice on what I should do now. Wait until she cools down, go visit with something nice and/or relaxing that she likes (chocolate maybe) and bring up the subject of how you would like her to feel free to call you first in case of emergency. Tell her that you care about her and her kids and their well-being and that you were surprised when she hadn't called you when she got in trouble.
  11. It shouldn't matter. It sounds like she could have the "single lady doin' it for herself" mentality going. If you were married to her, she would have probably called you first.
  12. Perhaps she is projecting her experiences with previous men onto you, expecting that you'll act the same as they did. That's why she called her gf (who was with her through other men) when she was in trouble. She could have trust issues.
  13. QUOTE (That funky motion @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 07:41 PM) I would love KW's email. I have his rookie jersey from when he got called up and wondered if he would like it. [email protected]
  14. QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 07:17 PM) We totally won the hypothetical offseason! YES! Hypothetical Parade through Chicago here we come!
  15. What's the point of having Walter Johnson, Christy Mathewson, Cy Young, Mordecai Brown, and Lefty Grove in there if you're sending out Timo and DWise to hit?
  16. Danks or Floyd would have been gone if we got Halladay.
  17. So, I guess that Peavy could be a bigger injury risk in the AL because he might pitch more innings with a DH. I hope that Coop keeps a close eye in him over the next few years.
  18. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 04:06 PM) Oregon is imploding. First dibs on beachfront property in Idaho!
  19. QUOTE (chw42 @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 06:05 PM) He hurt his ankle running the bases. He's never really had that many arm problems before, even with his violent pitching motion. He does?
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 05:57 PM) This also has to do with the fact that our front office is pretty cautious when it comes to signing/trading for injury-heavy players. Guys like Quentin are the exception, but for the most part, we're a healthy team. Crede being gone helps a lot as well.
