  1. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 18, 2010 -> 09:33 AM) I took a fastball to the jaw with bases loaded. Which scored the go ahead run in the playoffs. It was totally worth it. It really hurt though. I won most improved player of the year award the first year I played little league. That was cool. My team won the championship the last year I played. I went out on top. Homer?
  2. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 09:48 PM) I didn't even notice the author of the article until just now. Considering the source, I would guess he's already signed.
  3. How many "Thomas"es have the Bulls had on their roster? Tim, Tyrus, Tim #2, Kurt, Frank, Isiah...
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 08:28 PM) If he ends up in Detroit, I'll eat crow. That's hardly a negative thing...unless you hate black licorice.
  5. Gotta love family. Christmas was awkward after that, I bet.
  6. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 08:00 PM) I think Boras is using us. Could be wrong, just a hunch. That would mean that he's using AJ, Hawk, JR, KW, Cowley, Gonzales, Rosenthal, and Heyman. Seems like a lot of people.
  7. I have a church softball league moment. Bottom of the 7th, tie score, bases loaded, I hit a single to send our team into the playoffs.
  8. Not directly sports related, but Olympics related Whoops!
  9. QUOTE (La Marr Hoyt HOF @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 03:32 PM) Damon will be the DH I bet that they'll platoon Damon and Pierre between LF and DH.
  10. QUOTE (WCSox @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 02:37 PM) I would put Damon and his nice OBP at the top of the order. Pierre is more of a #9 hitter and his speed would compliment Damon's ability to hit for decent average with some power. Damon Beckham Quentin Konerko AJ Rios Alexei Teahen Pierre If Q could stay healthy for an entire season, that would be a pretty respectable lineup. Three lefties in a row?
  11. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 02:37 PM) Unfortunately we all know we'll see that line up a little more than we'd like to. Who is 'Vizquez'?
  12. How could you forget Kotsay for Kong at 1st base?
  13. Pierre Beckham Damon Quentin Konerko Pierzynski Rios Teahen Ramirez Makes the most sense.
  14. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 12:06 AM) I hear that street is aging and can't play the field. Can you confirm? It has potholes and driving on it is hit or miss.
  15. Aaron Rowand. He could be CF, Rios in RF, Pierre and Quentin could platoon in LF and DH. None of this Andruw Jones and Mark Kotsay starting ridiculousness would be necessary then.
  16. QUOTE (vandy125 @ Feb 16, 2010 -> 05:37 PM) I can get them 300 miles away in Iowa (although just barely). I'd hate to lose that. Although, I'd find a different way to listen to the broadcasts. They have affiliates in Burlington and Cedar Rapids.

QUOTE (The Critic @ Feb 16, 2010 -> 02:12 PM) A camel? No no, an airsickness medication.

    London/Paris

I'm assuming that once you've seen London, then France, the next obvious destination is underpants.
  19. I get The Score crystal clear 100 miles away here in Michigan. I cannot, however, get Chicago FM radio here. I hope that they can simulcast games on FM and AM, because there are no other White Sox radio network affiliates close enough for me to pick them up.
  20. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 15, 2010 -> 07:01 PM) If this has been posted, it's OK. It needs to be posted again. Joe Pos rocks. He totally skipped over Thome there.
  21. Bobby DePaul might have been more successful if he had been named Bobby Marquette.
  22. That's only 2 guys for me. I have no problem letting them go. In fact, one may go before this season.
