This is very true.. they need to rebuild their minor system. They are jammed up. Their big team is a minors team anyway. I do think they will select 3 of the 4 and possibly trade of them for more picks. I can't really see them trading any of them for players.

The hawks could afford to trade a pick or 2 in the second round. I believe they have 4 in the second round...correct??

I think at first yes the Sox would take a hit for trading Maggs but if they start winning more consistently they will be fine. Also, just because they Sox traded Maggs doesn't mean if they are truely serious about wanting Maggs. That they couldn't try to sign him when he does become a FA.

No they are saying it will be a combo deal for Maggs....I have to try and catch this on the radio at 1pm and see what the moron Levine has to say.

Like I said his defense let him down big time today. He has more let downs than just about any other pitcher. He pitches fine until he hits the 5th or 6th inning and then he either spaces the hell out or gets himself nervous or just loses his nerve. Like it has been stated many many many times b4 about Garland. He lacks the testicular fortitude to be a big time pitcher. He often s***s down his leg when the pressure is on him. He is no more than a 4th or 5th stater in the majors.

He should be a #5 pitcher on any other team. Yet they think he will be a GREAT #3 here. Maybe I am just pissed though and my thoughts are distorted but I doubt it.

You have to remember Russ Ortiz's #'s are down this year but also mostly do to Atlanta sucking ass this year. I think Ortiz would be huge if they get him.

On the broadcast they said he is on the 15 day DL with an elbow problem. Now Diaz will start tomorrow against the Scrubs. DOH!!

I think the Sox will win 2 of 3 from the scrubs.

LA doesn't want to trade Mota anyway. They backed out of the Beltran deal due to that fact alone. Mota isn't going anywhere.

Myself, I am more concerned with facing Zambrano than Prior or Maddux. As stated b4, Prior still isn't completely back yet. Maddux has shown he can be hit and Zambrano has shown he can totally dominate teams. If the Sox can get 2 of 3 here it will be great.

Hell thats the first win from the 5th starter in sometime now. I am happy with it. I was just glad Politte didn't come in and blow the friggin game as normal. KW still has to go out and get more pitching though. The Sox needed this game though.
