Sox @ Royals, Sox @ Royals, 8/21 x 2
How many times can the Sox score 5 or more runs and still lose?

QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 12:56 AM) Hawk is about to commit suicide. Hope Frank is ready for play-by-play. That might be interesting to listen to.

Waiver Wire Thread
I would hope that KW still tries to pick up a bat...of course depending on how the next week or so goes.

WS WINNA!
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 20, 2010 -> 07:13 AM) I will continue to talk about it because it needs to be addressed. There is no reason for him to get any more playing time save for a once every 2 week break for Paulie at 1B and that's it. He is not a major league baseball player. No team would be giving him this many starts. Teahen is leaps and bounds better than him at the plate so I will continue to complain when Kotsay gets more starts than Teahen. Maybe you need to take the Kotsay and Wise Fatheads off of your wall and start rooting for actual major league players. This might be my favorite post ever.

So did Mark earn his nickname M56 tonight?

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 09:37 PM) He'll probably end up with an OBP over .350 and 60+ stolen bases. He's just been great this year. Consider his miserable start and you realize just how good he's been since the beginning of June.

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 09:36 PM) So you had no problem with Kotsay facing a LHP with bases loaded in the 5th? I had a huge problem with that.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 09:31 PM) You guys make it seem like if he pulled him right there, the injury would have magically gone away. He would have f***ing strained it the next time he pitched. Not necessarily. And I think most of us are concerned that he had already hurt himself when they came out the first time.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 09:29 PM) Its becoming a f***ing joke to be honest. Its to the point where if he sneezes people will question it. So if he pulls Putz, theres no way he gets injured the rest of the season? He'll be perfectly fine next time he throws right? I'm pretty sure thats how injuries work if i remember. Huh?

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 09:28 PM) Why was he still in after he looked like he tweaked something? That's my problem with Ozzie's decision. Having him get an inning I have no problem with. But he should have pulled him when they first came out to see him.

QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 09:23 PM) He looks SICK. He has no color in his face. He looks like a corpse.... That's exactly what I thought. He looks like he's going to throw up.

Kotsay goes nuts after being brushed back and charges the mound. Unfortunately he swings and misses when he attempts to punch Pavano. Then Pavano slaps Kotsay is his beard, which causes Kotsay to rip Pavano's mustache off. Kotsay then gives the mustache to Beckham who wears it proudly the rest of the night.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 03:30 PM) We should all give our predictions every night. That way later we can get praised or blasted. Mine: Minnesota 11, Chicago 3. Not sure what I'll predict for the KC series. That's a series we should really truly should win, if not sweep. Sox win 6-4.
