I would have rather used the 2nd for a bigger need, but he supposedly has a high ceiling.

23 sacks in 10 games using Martz scheme isnt horrendous. The obvious hope is that the Bears call more plays that are quick and dont let the defense get up field regardless of protection.

I went into this draft saying that I think the bears oline isnt as bad as people think and I stand by that.

Its so odd how quick the draft goes. They used to waste 15 minutes ducking around, now the pick is in before they can even do the highlights.

If Russel Wilson was a few inches taller he would have easily gone before Weeden. Well see what happens, but Wisconsin had a huge OL and he really didnt get a lot of passes knocked down. At least he may get a shot.

Duke. Well I disagree with that philosophy, I would pick players I think can start and will be good regardless of position (as long as my team isnt ridiculously loaded there.) Right now the Bears added Marshall, they didnt really need a WR in the 2nd when there would be plenty of decent ones available in 3 or 4. Not only that, but rookie WR historically under produce.

Yeah I guess they are hoping Paea can really step it up. I still think they are taking a huge risk not getting a bigger d lineman.

Yeah I mean its not ideal, in a perfect world the Bears take a DT in the 2nd and then get a WR later on. After they added Marshall they didnt really need to spend a high pick on WR. Maybe they get Crick in the 3/4th who knows, they still need at least 1 o-lineman and some dbs.

Could they move Indonije inside? That would leave them Melton and Idonijie at DT?

With Worthy available there it was strange to pass on him. And Osweiler I dont like at all. Maybe the Bears will get Crick later on?

Watching all these OL/DL get drafted, Id rather have had the Bears draft one and then later on grab a WR as Toon/McNutt are still there.

Rock, Its because last years draft had better graded tackles and therefore perception was Carimi was not a LT (even though he won the Outland at LT.) Riley Reiff just happens to be a good tackle in a year when the tackle position is down, thus they keep saying he is a LT because thats what teams covet. The first thing about Reiff that most people dont like is short arms (33 1/4) Here is the list of last years OT and reach: 2011 9. Tyron Smith, USC Dallas 36 3/8 LT 17. Derek Sherrod, Mississippi State Green Bay 35 3/8 TBD My guess is that if Reiff was in the draft last year he would have probably been behind Carimi and above Sherrod. I just really am not a huge fan of his (Reiff). No one has shown me any reason why Reiff is that great. His measurables arent that great, his accolades arent that great, he just really isnt that impressive. He could prove me wrong, but who knows
