I dont build computers and I like Dell's warranty when I break them. Not for everyone but was definitely worth it for me.

Jenks, When I was thinking desktop, I was considering the X51 as desktop computer that can run games. http://www.alienware.com/Landings/desktops.aspx Its small and I figured I could pick it up and move it to different rooms like my PS3. Its a little bit more expensive, so it depends on the longevity.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 04:32 PM) There was an article a few weeks ago that talked about how Manto made Rios realize he was trying to pull the ball far too often last year. You can't watch these games and not realize the team is using more of the field than in previous years. Its 16 games into the season, Rios has had a great start before, only to completely flame out. Im one of the few people who have consistently believed Rios can do better, I just have been burned to many times by brief glimpses of "good" only to be followed by long stretches of "bad".
-
Its nice that Rios is doing better, Im not sure that its Manto. Rios has done this before, you just never know what youll get.

I may be able to get you guys some black market vaccines if the price is right.

With the Starks being all about family, I just cant see them really wanting war with the Baratheon's. Robert's war was over Robb's Aunt being kidnapped, Robert helped avenge the death of Robb's Grandfather and Uncle, and Robert was good friends with Ned. As I type this, I wonder if Robb Stark is actually named after Robert Baratheon. But for the kidnapping of his aunt, the Baratheons and Starks would have been family. (Edit) I am not doubting that Stannis views Robb that way, I am saying that it is unclear whether or not Robb would pledge loyalty to the Baratheons if they could decide which one. As it stands right now, Stannis may be thinking that Robb supports Renly.
-
Has that really been established? Because it really seems more that they want to avenge their father, save their sisters and then figure it out from there. I just dont see the Baratheon's and Stark's fighting, unless its picking a side between the 2 brothers. Steve, Joffrey is all about power. The prostitutes were from Tyrion who had just punked out Joffrey in court, so he wanted to send a lesson. It really doesnt seem he will be long for this world, but that is generally the fate of young Kings.
-
A key part of last night's episode (imo) was the Robb Stark and nurse, where Stark basically says he isnt really intent on being King. Which is why whoever is the winner of the Baratheon feud will likely get Stark's support. Stark's fighting is more about the death of Ned than the want to be King. That is why Stark's mother is around, because whichever one of the Baratheon's wins, Starks will likely support.

(I havent read the books so I have no spoilers, this is just entirely guessing on the tv show). Yeah originally it seemed that Renly was the Baratheon to bet on, but I just have a feeling that smoke monster child is going to turn the tables in that war. I think that Targaryen's are about a season or so away from being any sort of threat. Maybe theyll take advantage of the weakened state of the rest of the armies.

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 23, 2012 -> 12:46 PM) So Fringe last Friday...they veer off to a 'future where Observers take over the planet', no conclusion to the story, then this week coming, we're back to the 'Jones is trying to collapse both universes'??? Huh? Just jump all over the damn place, then, I guess.... I think they are going to be interrelated. Basically showing the consequence if they lose to Jones. As for GOT: I think right now they are trying to show all of the different claims to the throne and their "weakness". Rob Stark seemingly a great tactician, but suffering from the fact that Notherners dont play politics and have no real ambition towards taking the Throne. (History seemingly repeats itself as Ned lets Robert Baratheon take the throne to start the whole mess.) At the moment you have the Baratheon's infighting, you have the North about to be attacked and you have the Lannister's weakened but seemingly okay if Tyrion Lannister is allowed to run things. If Joffery and Tyrion continue to fight that will weaken them as well. And of course the Targaryen are slowly building their mythical legend by wandering around. Im thinking that Stannis beats Renly and you have Stark/Baratheon v. Lannister with Greyjoy screwing around in the North. Sounds like a long protracted civil war, right in time for monsters to screw everyone. (edit) As to Joffery, he didnt like his Uncle punking him out, so he ruined something that his Uncle enjoys. Im not sure that Joffery gets that Tyrion isnt someone to be screwed with.

Mainly civil litigation, business contracts. But Ill do a few landlord tenant and other random cases. Would prefer not to do the randoms, to many are just nonsense.

Most of the mocks Ive seen have Zietler in the 1st, so not sure hell be available at the Bears 2nd but that would be a nice pick. As for the Bears first, Ive seen Brockers a few places, Id be fine with Upshaw as a DE as well. Not sure what the Bears will do, have a feeling it depends on availability.

You mean the statistically supported comment that Rondo hasnt torched the Bulls every game without Rose and in fact 2 of 3 games he basically played to his career norms? I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion, and maybe Rondo will play far beyond what he did in the regular season, but Rondo's season average is 12/12/5 His 3 games against the Bulls without Rose were: Feb 12: 32/15/10 Feb 26: 17/8/7 April 5: 10/12/4 My opinion is Feb 2 is an outlier, on Feb 12 and Feb 15, Rondo had 2 of the highest scoring games in his career back to back. Since then Rondo has only scored more than 20 points 1 time. Once again, not really sure where the evidence is that Rondo will torch the Bulls without Rose. Having 1 career game doesnt really correlate to that statement. So, where are you going with this? Because it seems factually, that Rondo doesnt torch the Bulls every game they dont have Rose.

2012-2013 NCAA Basketball thread
Soxbadger replied to He_Gawn's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Well the NCAA President is now speaking out about potentially changing the rules on transfers. http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/...duct-sea-change Its a little buried in the article though. I just wanted to point out something that clarifies the Wisconsin issue: So this wasnt about Bo Ryan restricting the entire ACC or anything that was presented in the media. Uthoff gave a list of 16 schools and ONLY 4 were restricted to start and Uthoff appealed 3 of them (Indiana, Iowa, ISU) and 1 of them (ISU) was allowed. Its nice to see the NCAA considering change, its just unfortunate that Bo Ryan seemingly became a scapegoat on the issue. -
Bulls offense without Rose is different. If Korver/Hamilton can shoot well, the Bulls can score. The difference is the Bulls just cant get lazy on offense and then hope for an iso from Rose to bail them out. They just need good good off the ball movement.
-
Ive watched the game of basketball before. The statistics just do not support that Rondo torches the Bulls without Rose. When you have a 3 game sample and 1 of them is extremely different, I call that an outlier. Maybe Rondo will torch the Bulls, I just dont think that it will matter whether Rose is playing or not, it will entirely depend on if Rondo has career games.

2012-2013 NCAA Basketball thread

So this is just an odd week for Wisconsin basketball. Tom Crean has been on twitter today saying how great Wisconsin could be next year. http://twitter.com/#!/tomcrean At least people care about us! -
I definitely think people have been trying to make it out that Zimmerman really shouldnt have been fearful and that he had no reason to use deadly force.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 20, 2012 -> 11:16 AM) Presumably though, the SP and investigators have these photos and others, right? Consequently, at some level, even if they don't spell out the negatives in their affidavit, they have to know that this defense is coming and that these sort of photos will serve as evidence for the defense. So that takes me back to what I said when charged...if the SP has these photos and knows she can't prove her case, and brought the case anyway, that'd be incredibly irresponsible. Otherwise, they have to have some way around it, and between whatever the autopsy showed and the phone call records, they must think they can establish that Zimmerman remained the aggressor throughout the attack. Of course they have a way around it, simply arguing that Zimmerman was the aggressor and Martin was defending himself. That really isnt the point I am making. The point I am making is that there are multiple arguments that need to be made. One of those arguments that I believe will be important, is whether or not Zimmerman actually was fearful enough that using deadly violence was warranted in the first place. To me this was going to be the easiest way to convict Zimmerman, basically showing that he never really had enough fear to use a gun, thus SYG, etc is irrelevant as the fear was never there. With that new evidence, it becomes more murky. If Zimmerman was actually having his head pounded into cement, it does lend credence to the argument that Zimmerman was afraid for his life. Now whether or not Zimmerman created that situation, is entirely irrelevant to this piece of evidence. What this piece of evidence will be used for, is to show Zimmerman's state of mind during the attack immediately proceeding the shooting. It further will allow the Defense to argue that Zimmerman's thought process may have been compromised because his head was being smashed into the ground, and people generally do not think as rationally or clearly when that is occurring. SS, Well that is where I have to disagree. Lets just assume that it is fact Zimmerman followed Martin. Lets say its even fact that Zimmerman did something threatening to Martin. The question then becomes, legally, can Martin do anything he wants to Zimmerman? Or if Martin gets the upper hand and subdues Zimmerman, does he then have to stop? Does Martin have the right to kill Zimmerman, or does Zimmerman have the right to shoot Martin if he thinks Martin will kill him? That is why "who has the upper hand" is important, that is why people keep saying Zimmerman outweighs Martin, etc, because if Martin had the upper hand, Zimmerman may have been justified in shooting Martin under Florida law. As for changing the case, I assume the Prosecutors and Defense all have this information. I also believe this is the first time that the public has seen this photo. So it doesnt change the case, but it absolutely does show the facts in a different light.

He had a career game on Feb 12, the Celtics then played the Bulls other times, again without Rose, Rondo's stat line was: Feb 26: 17/7/8 April 5: 10/4/12 For whatever reason on Feb 12 and Feb 13, Rondo was a different player. He scored 30 pts back to back, and in each game had 20+ shots. Outside of those 2 games, Rondo has scored 30 and shot more than 20 times, in 1 other game respectively (they were actually 2 games, but in one he scored 30 with 19 shots.) I just think that those 2 games were outliers.
-
You have to remember the charging papers are just the minimum necessary to get in the door. They arent going to bring up any facts that may hurt their case. And their interpretation of the law has to be that Zimmerman was not acting in self-defense, otherwise they couldnt bring the charges. Wounds to the back of Zimmerman's head definitely suggest that at some point Martin was on top of him.
-
We may never truly know who was the aggressor that night. But the picture is evidence and gives off a different impression than the video from the police station, so it should also get the same discussion.
-
I really dont think Rondo is going to do drastically more without Rose, its not like Rose is known for his defense.
-
I think the Bulls can win the first series without Rose and would probably be even/slight advantage against the Celtics if that was the round 2 match up.
